My own answers to the questions....

1- ...In general, The Qatar world cup, will be great for the Area.......,and also for Iran......., the qatar authurities have said, thier plans, are to lease the facilities to nieghboring countries after the WC...which may explain the reason for recent TM games with Brazil and up coming Russia games......
FIFA under, Sep Blatter, is a better FIFA, and indeed they are making Football special in all corners of the world........,A progressive UAE,Dubai and qatar will be good partners for Iran of future ,free of Mullahs.

2-...Dejagah...., should be used, as a good replacement for mahdavikia of the past.......he is stronger, and faster than him, nice crosses, great long distance shots on opponant's goal, and experince in ball distribution.

3- ...IFF, needs to keep in mind, the practicality of prospective foreign coaches......just a big name will not do.......The future coach must have track record of working in Third world countries....and a winning attitude...

4-...I for one, am supporter of Ghotbi.......he needs fans support ,more than ever, and TM needs support of TM coach, for buying into his plans...., we should staty away from all negativities as much as possible.

5- ...PFDC, could set a plan of action for up coming games....such as :

A= day to day, report of the venues, and atmospher.
B= day to day ,report on TM.
C=Sending a PFDC representetive there........( Majid and yashar are great prospects.......if they get financial support ), ( I am willing to pay,if other do too )
    D= Interviews !
    E= More videos.......

      1) Qatar's hosting case was purely a matter of corruption and pathetic acts of FIFA the most corrupted federation in the history of any sporting field. Mr. Blatter is a scum bag who's purchasable buy anyone who's got the money and power. FIFA is the filthiest!

      2) I would use Dejagah conservatively and smartly. First he needs to get familiar with the atmosphere of the country and the football federation, fans, coaching staff etc. Then we need to play a few friendlies and let him play only one half, then if he's comfortable and well-fit with the team, he may get more playing time. Not too sure if I'd like to have him as the striker, maybe behind the striker or even as a winger. His speed will make him a very productive right winger.

      3) I say let's avoid such scenarios and just focus on AC11, distraction of any kind won't contribute to TM positively. I'd say let's evaluate our team's overall performance after the AC11 and then come up with a more logical and fair final decision. Thus let's not jump the guns just yet!

      4) It's not up to me or you to keep everybody united during the tournament, however we can do our own share and be as supportive as we can, because we're simply fools if we don't!

      5) Yes indeed I would love to see PFDC hire some beautiful cheerleaders during the games, so that they can entertain us all (Particularly me) while watching TM spanking one team after another!

      My 2 cents...

A1. I was against Qatar getting the world cup for few reasons: 1) A tiny country can not accomodate large number of visitors. Think about this, where will all those visitors stay? ok some will go to UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman and Saudi Arabia. Maybe countries like Jordan would use it as an opportunity to accomodate visitors but surely no one would want to stay in Iran, Iraq, Pakistan or Yemen. 2) Qatar will surely use the imaginary name of Arabian Gulf instead of Persian Gulf everywhere in their brochures or ad boards etc.
        3) Qatar doesn't have enough stadiums or cities to host a large event.

But the positive side is Team Melli playing in Qatar is like playing at home as large persian population live in UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait + close proximity to Iran and direct flights to Mashhad, Tehran and southern Iran makes it easy for Team Melli fans to go and support the team.

A2. Dejagah plays as Left Wing in his club side Wolfsburg so I guess that's where he should play in Team Melli. I think anywhere in Midfield he will do well.

A3. Iranian coaches are good. Place Heshmat Mohajerani, Ali Parvin or Mansour Pourheydari as Technical Director and any of most experienced Iranian coaches are capable of getting results needed: Jalali, Mazloomi, Ebrahimzadeh and Ghalenoei all proved to be good coaches. Ali Daei needs time to improve, one day he will be a good coach. If need to get foreign coach should get a big name eg. Carlos Alberto Pereira, Luis Scolari, Fatih Terim forget about western european coaches(French,Dutch,German,Italian,Belgian, etc) they will not accept a job in Iran as they wouldn't want to live there and having a flying-guest-coach would be disastrious for Team Melli.

A4. The whole country will support Ghotbi for Asia Cup but some people in Media or govt or football-circle don't want to see Ghotbi to succeed.

A5. well it would be good if PFDC have their usual predicting game results game competition I always found it fun even though I use to finish somewhere in the middle of prediction table

My fellow members ,keano, and roointan, expressing thier opposition against Qatar...based on

          1- Corruption
          2- lack of facilities,accumidations.
          3-Persian Gulf issue.

As far as corruption is concerned.....if the allegations were true, ( which there is no proof for it ), still, it would not be the first time,in FIFA...all those European countries get the WC, one after another for so many years....and USA getting it twice.....even proven cases in winter olypmics...etc.....,
I see no reason, Qatar should be singled out and be punished among all others.

As for facilities........I have a feeling, not only Qatar will have the right facilities and accumidations, but also will be impressing the whole world !!!

As for Persian Gulf ........This issue, is going to be long war...and is not about to be finished very soon......, and I doubt,Qataries, will push this issue too much, as they want to avoid, hashieh and poletics, for better WC.........
We Iranians, just, can not stop all Arabs from all thier international relations.,and we have to learn to counter with our own, international relations

          .................................................. .

As for the future head coach.......Maradona will defenetly be a wrong choice....he is niether a good coach, nor resilient enough to live in Islamic republic of IRAN......he most likely, will leave IRAN, two minths after his contract starts.

1- an affront to logic and sensibility. not becoz they are arabs. but becoz of the heat & humidity in june/july (given the annual rise in temperatures, I cant imagine how much worse it would get after 12 years). the heat will have a detrimental impact on the quality of the games and we could see very boring and drab second halves ..... but also qatar is not a significant footballing country and it is like giving the WC to albania in europe or guatemala in central america. it just doesnt make sense

and as for fans, mark my words, it will be one of the most forgettable WC's for the fans in terms of entertainment and enjoying the month. issues from the heat, a more restricted society, small land mass, ... etc would impact the overall acceptability of the 2022 edition
in other words, it's going to be one BORING world cup

2- he shd be tested first. it doesnt make sense if we just allow him to waltz in and get a fixed spot. as much as we may want him, he needs Iran too, to make his senior int'l debut.

3- spend a little money (which we do anyway) and get a good coach (which we hardly do) and then give him at least 2-3 years.

4- the fool is already cemented for the cup. so lets hope his luck holds

5- use our ppl in neighboring countries as correspondents.
have a separate section for pics, reviews, clips, articles, news, polls, ... etc.

What I forgot to mention in my previous post was the possibility of lack of full attendance in the stadiums, we all know that Qatar's domestic league as well as many of their national team's home games are usually played in pretty much empty stadiums, therefore it'd hard to imagine 10 stadiums which are all located within 10 Kilometer radius being packed with attendants.

This issue gets more serious with the recent announcement of the Qatar government that alcohol and kissing will be considered illegal acts, this itself will turn off many foreigners and may keep them away from entering the country for WC.

Qatar was a wrong choice, so was Russia!

                ^ true that.
qatari fans hardly attend their own clubs and team games. imagine when (not if) their team is eliminated in the first round. considering the heat and restrictions and ..., it'll be quite a blow to fifa's motto of showcasing the good name of football

                ==========

on Ghotbi, I'd like to add if I have to point out to ghotbi's strength it is his vision in finding the best way to take an advantage of a situation.
he is the best public relations officer one can find.

not to reduce anything from mansourian or bagheri, coz as players they were deservedly respected and loved by all fans, not only ss or pp fans. but we definitely have far better assistant coach candidates than these two.

but ghotbi, the clever opportunist knows which side of his bread is buttered.

first he chooses a blue personality, since being a former red coach, he had most (not all) red fans eating out of his hands (despite not having much in terms of substance to justify their illogical support of him). by choosing mansourian, he brought in the blue camp, thus making sure the majority of fans wouldnt criticize him as much as they would a neutral coach.

then when things looked to go wrong with crappy losses to crappier teams, he brought in a "booster dose" (bagheri) to his waning popularity. again exploiting the red-blue fanaticism in iran.

I only wish when we had a worthy coach like Ivic or Blazevic, we had ghotbi in their camp who could make use of his talents and create a positive environment and rally the troops & fans behind the team.
I'm sure Ciro wouldnt have had such a horrid time at the hands of the media if he had ghotbi as his public relations. and with more time to focus on the team, he;d have done a far better job than what transpired.

There were other reasons that I forgot to mention about why I'm against Qatar hosting the world cup.

The most important is: Qatar has never qualified for the world cup. This reason alone should have immediately made them not-eligible to host the event as it will be unfair to other countries such as Asian Powers. Imagine some Asian Powerhouse miss out because not enough spots allocated to AFC. If let's say AFC be given only 4 spots that means eg. South Korea, Japan, Australia and Iran qualify for the event and then any of other powers like Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, Iraq, Kuwait, Bahrain, China, UAE or North Korea will miss out! How would any of these teams feel? Qatar is in the world cup who never qualified while Saudi(4times at the world cup), North Korea(twice at the world cup) or likes of Iraq/Kuwait/China/UAE(each with 1 appearance at WC) miss out!
Remember the WC2002 how Team Melli missed out due to the bogus grouping(placing Iran and Saudi together so China or Qatar would have easy passage to the world cup! and China made it!!!)

I also agree with other respondents who mentioned the extreme heat in Qatar. The other thing I forgot to mention is people movement. Such a tiny country will get so crowded, traffic conditions might mean that people will not reach stadiums on time and thus miss out on watching games! Unless Qatar is thinking of introducing flying cars something like "Back to the Future" or "Fifth Element" movies!

Qatar WC representetives, have promised, a total Air-conditioned estediums, with a 29 degree indoor tempretures.....
They will be hiring European managements.....and let thier money do wonders !
This will be the first WC, where players will stay in a same Hotle room during the whole time......
and this will be the first WC, that there will not be a shortage of tickets.....
although, the number of Arabs living close by to Qatar, who can afford to go and watch the games, are not any less than those who can afford in European countries.

The only ligitimate issue against Qatar case, in my opinion, is what roointan suggested, which it reduces the number of Asian candidates......

1- What is your overall view of Qatar getting the WC ?
Not really positive as one of the Asian slots will go to Qatar, thus we probably wont be at the WC.

2-How and where would you use Dejagah in the TM Line-up ?
I would like to see him as a striker, if that doesn't work out, he should be our nr 10 (playmaker) or right winger. Since we already have decent right winger (khalatbari), I prefer the nr 10 position.

3-What should ,once and for all , Strategy of IFF be for finding a new TM Head coach ?
? Probably give out more cash..

4-Are we united in supporting Ghotbi during the Asian games ?
As soon as the AC begins, I think all of us will unite in supporting TM, for as long as they're winning, that is.

These are some good questions! ... Thanks for bringing them up!

                        My 2 cents:

1- What is your overall view of Qatar getting the WC?

I have to say this one really makes me scratch my head and wonder what in heaven is really going on in this world!

I don’t think many people are convinced with what FIFA is telling the public for their reasons to select Qatar as the host. I am also curious to see this from Qatar’s perspective and understand what they saw in this whole thing and what is really in it for them at the end of the day. Even though many different analysis and speculation can be made, but I am more and more to believe that it all comes down to one word and that is MONEY. Yes, this whole thing is all about MONEY.

The reality is FIFA has become a commercial and for-profit entity. It is no longer just the sport of football and fair play and all the other ear pleasing words we hear. FIFA is a big business and it operates within a climate that attracts other big businesses with political and economic influences and power. These people don’t shy away from doing everything possible to get multi billion dollar contracts and that includes influencing those who are in a position to decide who gets the honour.

Qatar is a tiny place and without getting too much into its history and the reason for its existence, it is not even considered to be a nation nor a country by many who are familair with the region. Qatar has never achieved anything of even regional significance in football let alone being a player in the international level. If ranking was also given based on that criteria, Qatar would have not even made it among the top 200 candidates. But one thing Qatar has that others lack and that is MONEY - an abundance of it and a willingness to spend with no limit! - What would be more lucrative than that for many big businesses to go there and build the infrastructure from scratch? And not just bunch of ordinary stadiums, mega stadiums with state of the art facilities. Air conditioning the entire Qatar for God’s sake!! Now, if you were the top guy running one of those big businesses, wouldn’t you want to bribe anyone on the board of FIFA to help select Qatar? I am not saying that actually happened, but it is possible.

The ordinary people in Qatar and the Arab world may think this is a win for the Arabs and some opportunist may even see this as a way to further their own political agendas vis-a-vis the Persian Gulf vs. Arabian Gulf issue and may even throw some money at it, etc. etc. – but the reality is that those Qataries behind this are also part of the big establishment. They are no longer the mind-less Arabs as we know them. They are after money! They are Qatar Incorporated!! You heard them speaking at FIFA. They are educated and most likely are involved or are the major shareholders of the companies who are going to go there and get the contracts. Wow!! From my pocket on the right side to my pocket on the left side … okay, I have to pay off FIFA and some other people! Pocket change!!! … Now, who is going to tell me that England was prepared to spend this kind of money?? 90% of their facilities are already in place!! They can host the world cup tomorrow if they have to. Who cares how much they have contributed to football and what EPL has done to the popularity of the game all over the world. And... this is certainly not about Asia or Middle East or what not!! This is FIFA in business with deep pocket Qatar Incorported!

And .. same case can be made about Russia. A country full of resources and money with big mafia running and owning most of it!

                        I think I said enough!

2-How and where would you use Dejagah in the TM Line-up ?

Dejagha is a good player, but TM problems won't be solved by an individual players … no matter where he plays he needs time to adjust, but there is no time!

3-What should ,once and for all , Strategy of IFF be for finding a new TM Head coach ?

IFF should establish a committee to first study our football to see what direction/style do we want to follow, then select coaches that can deliver within that direction. One day we bring in a Brazilian, then a Croat, then an Iranian, now a Sweden or an Argentinian. IFF should drive this from our requirement and not who is available to coach.

4-Are we united in supporting Ghotbi during the Asian games ?

I think the love for Iran is what we are united on. We will cheer for our TM no matter who is coaching it.

5-Should PFDC have a special plan for Asian games ?

I think it would be nice to have a special section for the games with information and anslysis.

Qatar getting the WC overall is a good thing. The only negative thing will be they will try to push the Arabian gulf agenda though.

I think we do OK in the Asian cup. This means in best situation we come third or worst get eliminated in quarter final.

I think the whole Dejageh situation is overblown. He won't be an impact player. Don't get me wrong, he is a good player and all, but not an impact player. At best he will be another Feraydoon Zandi. Impact player was Karimi in Asian cup 2003. Kia in WC 1998. Football this day is much more complex than old days when a single player had a huge impact.

I think at this point we need to fully support Ghotbi and fight back against our inherent critical thinking instinct (which is very strong among Iranian). Whatever the case would be Ghotbi is the coach.

I don't think PFDC can do much, Yashar and Majid don't seem to be as active as before. With the rise of face book, tweeter, etc. and decline in our football, meager revenue for PFDC , weak financial support by PFDC members, I don't expect much. If they do anything kudos to them and I attribute that to the genius mentality of PFDC admin and management.
"When I see the good in you, you get motivated, feel good about yourself and that creates synergy. It creates an environment where everybody can work better together. I think in the Iranian culture it becomes very ordinary to always see the bad in each other."
Afshin Ghotbi ( Former TM Head Coach)

Nasser Hejazi was the Takhti of our football.

                              very interesting interview on Qotbi:
