Uzbacks hadn't played a very good team to expose their really weak defense. See goals, 3-4-5 in all three cases their last defender fills the offside by 4 meters. Second goal on a free kick their defending was less than an Amature team. Last goal was a screw up by their goalie.

Their defesne sucked adn when you play good team ugly things shows up. Remember how Ando and Noori were participating in offense during the UAE game but against Korea we didn't see that. Our midfield didnt' have offensive talents and it showed up when we played a good team.

        ^^ Classic

It is also possible that Australia is actually getting better as the tournament progresses. The same thing for Japan if you ask me. Some teams are like that specially those that have many foreign-based players who may need more time to improve mutual synergy and team work.

                Simple, they were arrogant.

They did the same against Korea with one element going different. While they were struggling 3-0, they got a penalty. This penalty pushed Korean back and with a bit of luck, they chase the game 3-2 making Korean nerves. The turning point was the penalty.

We easily could see another 6-0.

                Cheers,

Wise words. Game could have been easily another route. I think also lack of PArk Ji Sung and Korea playign two 120 min games against Iran and Japan took a toll on them.

I don't want to get Payman up in arm again, but it showed any team that going to go on full attack against Korea better have an amazing defense or else Korean rape them on the counter attack. Their forwards are pretty good too. Both first and third goals were clinical finish. Even after 3-2 Korea had 3-4 high percentage chances whereas Unzbackd didn't have any.

Funnier part was Uzbacks realized what is going on and even a 3-2 games they werent' committing forward like they did in the first 30 minutes. Note this first thirty minutes Uzback's position 63% around 65 minute Korea possesion 54%.
