I was very much put off by his exclusion in the AC 2011 squad, this was perhaps because Ghotbi did not have a good history with him. This guy is currently the best power shot taker in Iran (reminds me of Bagheri). At 187 cm he has a good physique and in Persepolis players are constantly relying on him for direct set pieces and behind the 18-box rebound shots. You should watch him in the recent match in Turkey versus the Czech team where he also took nice penalties and made the Sparta goal keeper look like a fool.

He hasn't had the best season with Perspolis so far, he used to be more effective and influential in all his games. However he has always lacked speed and that IMHO is his biggest shortcoming.
His lethal long range shots a d FKs as well as his stamina and solid performance in the midfield and contributions to both defense and offense is to be admired!Comment
