    The Search for new coach

I hope we can discuss the search and job of IFF.......with reletive objectivity.....,and believe it or not, thier plan seem promising !

It appears, IFF has done a more extensive job of searching, and wants to make a wiser choice.....
IFF appears to have a healthy budget, and Green light from higher hands to spend as it wishes.......
It also, has been under ,more than usual criticism, to look at this issue as longer term, foundemental, program than past.....which all these are positive,if it acctualy happends.......
They have considered 40 candidates, with more extensive requirements
....The Additional requirements, other than previouse ones are, for the new coach to have ............ """ the experince in teaching """....as in schools for football......., and reletive young age,and having successful past both on national and league levels....
    ...
The interesting point,is assigning a higher responsibilities to the new coach....both as far as giving direction to the development of the youth,as well as designing a program to reach it.....in addition to accualy supervizing the three jobs, of TM,Omid, and youth programs, and even help and advise IFF as whom to choose for head coaching of those youth and Omid programs.......
It appears,IFF has chosen the japan model of youth developement...and wants to advance a European Model of football with it.
.It also, appears,That Spain is a country that would be most helpful to IFF programs...and most possibly, the future coach, will be either from Spain, or has worked in Spain.
IFF SUCH PROGRAM MATERIALISES,THE NEW COACH,MAY VERY WELL BE " THE FATHER " OF IRANIAN FOOTBALL PROGRAM, FOR THE NEXT 10 YEARS, AND FOUNDER OF NEW ERA !

ZZgloo jan, I post this in the other thread. Kowsari was talking in a TV program and gave some good hints about the future TM coach. He talked as if he has accurate inside information.

TM coach: He said the contract with the TM coach will be signed tomorrow. The coach is from a western Europe country, has academic background and was "present" in the 2010 WC. He is a very big name coach!

Omid coach: Iranian and very well educated. (Dr. Z?)

After looking at the Eygpt and Tunessia.....and after noticing how people were involoved during the asian games, and football in general.....
I would pay " blank check ", even up to $ 200,million, a year to highest coach in the world, to keep Iranian people hopeful !!

Given the description of the coach somewhat my instinct tells me it's nobody but Raymond Domenech. Hope I am wrong though!

It is said, the negotiations with the candidate coach , has been stauled !
                  Again !!
The snubs of forign coaches ,that forced IFF to Hire Branko, ( an unknown assistant coach with little experince ).
The Snub of forigners that caused employment of Ghalenoee.
The snub of forign coaches, such as Clemente, that forced IFF to settle with Daei, with even less experince....and later Ghotbi with shaky qualification.
Now, with this potugues Carlos Queiroz ......,and news that he has been contacted by others not to sign with IRAN...etc,etc....
IFF, even anticipates snubs, and interviews two to three at the time cymulteniously, ..so it would not be embarrassed.....and the secoundary choices could very well snub as well.....specialy with so many other countries looking for new coaches as well...

It is very likely,we will end up with " Ghalenoee " again...as it is said ,he is the domestic top candidate......

It is not fair, that all aspects of life in IRAN is sufferreing, due to our system, and Football not be among them..........so, we as football community, suffer too.

I say just drop Bengar and Mirzapour from the roster, bring in Montazeri and Dejagah, and then bring Ghotbi back too.

looks like it IS going to be this Carlos Quiroez who'd be signing on the dotted line. after a week of hiding, denying, side-stepping this matter by IFF, apparently he is arriving in tehran on sunday.
(but then again, it is iranian media we're talking about. and nothing is ever 100% until it happens)

from what little I know of this chap, he seems to favor a more defensive game of football (nayoomadeh, from the outset he's on my bad books ). but seriously speaking, since he has had students like figo and costa, I guess he's not going to be allergic to attacking football either.
being fergie's assistant couldnt be bad either.

I also remember when he was leading portugal, his team hardly showed much in terms of variety in attacking tactics and was heavily defense oriented. he got some flack for that too.

anyone knows more about his style and game reading?

having said all this, I'd say lets not judge the guy until he's had a few months of TM under his belt to prove what he is capable of with what we have to offer. I sincerely hope he (or any other coach who takes the helms) understands our football and can get us further and higher than where we are right now

exactly what I said when ghtbi took over. but time proved mansoor right.

                          Payman;

You got time to warm up before getting on his case then!!!!! Kidding
"When I see the good in you, you get motivated, feel good about yourself and that creates synergy. It creates an environment where everybody can work better together. I think in the Iranian culture it becomes very ordinary to always see the bad in each other."
Afshin Ghotbi ( Former TM Head Coach)

Nasser Hejazi was the Takhti of our football.

I don't get how anyone could bother about defensive or offensive football more than about successful or unsuccessful football. Queiroz is among the top coaches of the world and I wouldn't mind if he thought a 5-4-1 would be the best system for Iran!

Merci Peyman jaan. I am hoping time will once again be in my side when I predicted we have one of the most unique pool of talented players that is one good coach away from displaying a differenet football than we have seen before, more team-oriented, fast and physical. We never had such a collection like this one and Ghotbi blew it ...

Like I briefly mentioned in my first thread, I was expecting good things to happen soon as I was told from insiders, and looks like it may very soon happen. I am aware of the news in the background, good news is Carlos khan is inches away from becoming Iran's coach.

Exactly the type we need at this time, and Peyman jaan, don't worry too much about defense and offense and result and so on. Put your support hat on, as getting and keeping these kind of "real" coaches is very hard for Iran at the moment. It is him or the French man, and if not, we are stuck with another headache coach for some time to come .....
We thank and support Mr.Kamran Delan for many years of dedication and service to Iranian Football Community.
                              Go IRAN!
