He was asked by a reporter about his change of heart, and clear answer to people for it.........
    After explaining ,that he needed just more time,and could not make decisions that fast.etc,etc......he in return asked a question from Iranian Media right after his answer to the above question ;
he said : " Was my answer enough for you ? was it in any way unclear ? "....
It seems he likes to be understood, and transparent......and only promises hard work !!
    ...........
    On different look.......
1-He is brought also to save Islamic republic, and give hopes to millions......
2-He how ever, does not seem as taimed as Branko, and has history of confrontation with employers......I certainly hope, he is ready for IRANIAN unique circumsatnces and Chaotic system .

Take it from me....Not many of these young Iranian journalist have high IQ and I do not mean to offend the journalist. Their line of questioning leaves a lot to be desired. In fact , I doubt that they ever get trained for the job before starting the journalism assignments.

I don't know about a football coach saving the Islamic republic , but saving the Federation is more than likely. The success of employing Queiroz was mainly the efforts of Torabian. I still think Kafashian is an embarrassment and bringing a quality coach like Queiroz shall not obscure the fact that he and his administration are big time failures . However , let us give credit where credit is due...like this achievement.

I don't think that anyone can get used to the chaotic way Iranians do things except the local Iranian citizens themselves. For example, I seriously doubt that
Queiroz will drive in Tehran , unless he relishes a real and true challenge
However , within the federation and his task , I think he might be able to adjust if he so wishes. I honestly do not know much about his temperament , I do hope he is not that hot as working in Iran and with Iranians normally carries a health warning

He is clearly above our football caliber. I hope this is a good spot to stop bashing the coach for our all other shortcomings. He is the best our money can buy. I congratulate to IFF for this success (I can't believe I am writing some thing good about the current IFF ).

We put a Porsche engine to our "Peykan" car. Don't come back and say there is no power. If you can observe the power, there is plenty of it offered to you.

He sounded very humble and logic. He already proved himself, as Majid rightly explained, he doesn't seem to be here for plain money as well. He may get higher in other Arab neighbors. So, the deal is pretty good for us. I am very thankful for that and I hope we can benefit from his presence in our football.

One more, if you see Khalatbari playing in the goal and Ali Parvin was called back to the squad, don't question the guy, there must be a good reason for that. We must trust the coach at some point and move on.

So, if we tie to Maldive, don't come back with a sword asking for the coach's head.

        Cheers,

This is a dream come true. He won't be able to do wonders, but he can surely make the team playing up to the full potential, or even slightly above.

The amount of money he earns also guarantees he can't be fired easily, which will help him doing his thing.

Seems we will finally get the answer to the question if the often heard claim "We have so much talent, if we only had the right coach" is true...

Let's face it, AFC has 4.5 qualifying spots for the WC. Japan, South Korea, and Australia always qualify. That leaves 1.5 spots between us and KSA or Bahrain (or a similar West Asian team such as Uzbekistan) to compete for.

              ,

At this age , and in these times , I tend to believe anything

PS: >>spare me the Ali Parvin recall , though , the players might mistake his belly for the ball

With the presence of Queiroz , the debate now carry on and more questions will be asked. I guess the ever ubiquitous question of whether the masses would like to see beautiful football or just see the team beat the hell out of the opposition , is at the top of the list.

Now that we have a Mercedes engine in the good old Peykan , can this odd combination be the answer to our aspiration ?

Will the football be tremendously or marginally better with the presence of one man , albeit an important key person at the helm of Team Melli ?

I personally never thought that a coach , even the best in the world , would have a great impact on a team. If there is a great impact , then it is either coincidental or there is a fundamental flaw in that football.

But....coaches can make a difference in the long run. I think a person in the class of Queiroz is a great candidate to introduce the changes to the better. Perhaps he can mend many tactical failures of the other TM coaches . notably the chaotic and alarming defending as an example.

Quriroz need to effectively communicate with the players. He does not seem to appreciate that Iranian do not speak English very well as he has three European assistance and no Iranians. He needs the services of someone like Afazeli ( come on big man, get in the act) to ensure that his message is fully understood.

He was very clear and had sensible words.......which makes me wonder when the Iranian attitude will rub off on him and he goes through this:

I realy like to know more about Torabian's back ground........He seems to be forign educated......with his shaved beard, and reletively better dressed out look,...and command of English language ( to some extend ), as well as being comfortable among people who speak a different language........and perhaps his knowledge of how Western hiring and laws work........
He is indeed a major plus, for naively run IFF, ............he is a trouble shooter ,where there are too many troubles !!!
His services can even be used at the TM level.....and perhaps doing the same things for Queiroz.....both for internal logistics,as well as TM forign trips.

That video clip was absolutely brilliant.
Mehran Modiri has skilfully imitated & combined Ali Daei , Mayeli Kohan and Ghalenoei in one funny character. I watched this clip several times and it is really hilarious ... thanks for sharing.

On a side note, I seriously doubt that Carlos Queiroz would reach the Iranian standard of football coaching behavior anytime soon. He needs to live in Iran for 50 years and perhaps in another life to reach such skill in BullShitting , the Iranian coaches way

Congrats to all of us. After watching his interview I am even more optimistic. He didn't seem like a used car sales man promising us this and that. I liked his three elements of talent , organization and work. This is what we really need.

Even more importantly during his interview, he mentioned senior team, Olympic team and U19 team. To me this systematic approach that IFF is trying to put in place (with Queirz lead) is of uttermost importance.

All I ask and beg frm all football fans is to be patient. There will bumps in the road sooner or later. Our team can't beat any other football team in the world 3-0 and play beautiful football. Path of progress isn't linear and paved all the way.

"When I see the good in you, you get motivated, feel good about yourself and that creates synergy. It creates an environment where everybody can work better together. I think in the Iranian culture it becomes very ordinary to always see the bad in each other."
Afshin Ghotbi ( Former TM Head Coach)

Nasser Hejazi was the Takhti of our football.
