I dont understand the above sentence.
the writer did not make him RVN. he just mentioned the various ways nowroozi has scored his goals (I can vouch for it as I have seen him shoot, head, tap-in, take fk, dribble, ... his goals),
and he also mentioned he is the league's top scorer, which he is
and he mentioned he's scored an unprecedented 24 goals , which is also the truth
his comments on the various leagues' top scorers being overlooked by nat'l team coaches is also another piece of truth

so I cant understand the VNR remark or the notion of "having paid money for this or that"

I guess we paid 5 million dollars to a coach to make sure that a newspaper do not remind us who is the top scorer and who plays for that top team and who's cloth dries under the same sun Messi's cloth gets dry.

From what I see, he was invited to a camp and the coach crossed his name. ... don't play "I don't know what's going on in Iran". If it was about selection based on the stat, then why do we need a coach? we need a statistician.

I just finished watching Brazil's game. Guess who was on the bench? Dani Alvez .... I guess the coach didn't get the memo that he plays in Barcelona.

      Cheers,

not seen him enough to have good judgment of his quality..! but we all know great club players do not necessarily make good international players..! even the current undisputed best player of the world Messi struggles to establish himself as a force in Argentine squad..!
i somehow doubt our playing style is under CQ is going to be too much different than Branko/Ghotbi's for most part defensive, result driven tactics. for such tactics i for one prefer a stronger, physically enforcing, hustling type Target men like Gholami/(ghazi??) to both Noruzi and Ansarifard type players..!
overall its obvious that reza is a better footballer than Hadi, BUT Hadi has that rare Instictive(daei like) finishing quality that probably placed him ahead of Reza in CQ mind..!!??

anyways i think many unknown to us yet, factors play into CQ's squad selection process, and i so far found him to be a Thoughtful coach with tremendous foresight..! in addition, i can trust that he is not blinded by Sorkh Aabi party bazi , so i say lets see his team a few times in action and watch him making final adjustments to his squad, before start to go hard on the guy..!!

        ps
im glad the youngster didnt make any stupid bridge burning comments about the situation and i hope to see him back in the future lists as we really need some promising young blood for the future..!

If an Iranian coach, GN, Ebrahimi, Daei, Kohan… select Dehnavi, Seifi, Daghighi, and Baou…. And claim they are in his best 30 Iranian footballer; he will be ridiculed and criticized for rest of his career because of stupid claim.
Reason some (me included) is not so harsh on him is mainly because:
1- His credential, as one of top profile coach
2- Not has been in Iran long enough to see players for more games
3- Expecting with passage of time he will refine his selection.

If we are often criticize our coaches for some of their unsound decision, we should not be afraid, reluctant to criticize Queiroz’s choices if we see relevant.

No , Zare is not among best Iranian CD, Dehnavi & Pouladi are not best Iranian LB, and Baou & Seifi are not among best Iranian MF but If for what Queiroz need to win these are his choice he should be supported since he is in charge and want to win as much as rest of us.

For Queiroz to succeed beside his excellent credential he needs support of media and fans in Iran and if he is careless about his choice of players and comments he will not be taken as serious as he should be taken.
I will be the first one to hope he proves me wrong.

              Yes, yes and yes.

He will be there for many years. He hasn't had any official game yet. We don't have any superstar, all our players are IPL level. We should let the coach has his own experience with the players. At the end of the day, we went through hell to bring this guy to the country. A country that you are not able to send or take a dollar from it. A country that the major news coming out is "depressing" in the most positive way to describe it.

Queiroz is the best thing has happened in Iranian football in the last 10 years. You wanna kick some a$$ to sharpen your a$$ kicking ability, I don't think you will be short to find a$$es in that destroyed country/football.

Leave this guy alone please for now.

              Cheers,

                The reason # 4 could be :
                .
4- We, through media, just have over rated faimouse players and believe thier previouse fame sets them apart...and the reality is, that the difference with lesser known players are either not that much, or even less...and QC , makes his own independent judgement based on what he sees.

                  Very well said.

Although what the author has mentioned about the odd situation with Iran's league scorer not making the cut with Team Melli , Daei excepted, is quite true. Although Reza Nourozi has been tested in the camp , and I presume that Quieroz also seen footage of him playing in the league , it is finally up to the coach to decide.

He needs no guidance from anyone nor reminders of the capabilities of players that he is physically testing in front of his eyes. There could be dozens of reasons that he does not see Nourozi fit at this stage. Perhaps some will dismiss his reasons and do not accept it , but this is not the way that we should be dealing with the coach or rating him.

I always maintain my own theory that in football 2+2 does not always equal 4. Some events just do not make logical sense like why Messi fails to score or perform for Argentina while he is on fire with Barcelona. Of course , there will be all sort of theories floating around , but at the end of the day , and as far as I am concerned ......it does not make real sense!

I am thankful that we have so many good goalkeepers these days. It wasn’t too long ago where we had such a shortage of quality keepers. There was this period after Abedzadeh that we really struggled!

In Defence, I think we have some challenges. Our current player selection is on the older side and by the time this team reaches the WC, some of them may be too old. I would like to see a new generation of players invited to the team so that they gain the experience.

In the mid field, we seem to have a good supply of talent. I can see how difficult it would be for CQ to come up with the final list. However, there he should also focus on the younger generation of players, as Neko, Ando and Karimi are simply not going to be an option in a couple of year time.

Up front is where I think we are having the most problem. For exception of one or two players, I really don’t see how the current selection is going to produce the quality that is expected. For example, Oladi has never performed well for TM. What has changed? We need some tall, strong striker like Daie who can give us an option to score goal from the air. Enough of these shorties!

Watch Copa America and you get an idea of what kind of players you would need to put together a deceant team these days. They have taken physique to the next level, we are still dealing with skinny legs!
