The status of Football+ forum: There used to be a thread about this but I couldn't find it, surfing on my phone.....
As we discussed it before, there is a substantial decline in number of posts in football forum. So far that even MR is not posting here anymore (shame on you )
And we discussed the reasons behind it: lack of games, enthusiasm, and the low level of performance by TM in the recent years, etc. etc.
However, we didn't come up with solutions on how to solve this "problem". there were the suggestions that we should include more members, but then again it also meant that the quality of the post would move towards the football forum (not that anything is wrong with the posts in the football forum, they are actually way funnier that the posts here ). But As some members pointed out the consensus was there should be a certain quality and dept to the post. Great!
But it kind of ended there......
Since the lack of post frequencies here results in a less "engaging" (well at least in the proper sense ) environment it also has a side-effect.
The most members of PFDC can be divided in the old, cheesy, "two type of people": the "perspolisiya" or the "ss-ia", the "Karimi fans" vs the "Karimi haters", the "Daei fans" vs the "Daei haters", the "Branko fans" vs the "branko hater", the "mobali fans" vs "Martin Reza" (just kiddin )
Now surprisingly most of those variables are positively correlated, whit the awkward result that we have two or three groups (consisting of the same people) that go at it regularly regardless of the topic.
And since there are not so many people posting here on the Football+ Froum, let's be honest about it, people kind of get annoyed of each other with the unwillingly sneering remarks and personal insults as a result.
Like Rinus Michels (the "inventor" of total football) said: Football is war! so discussing football kind of is too. So the heated "arguments" and posts (despite the age, education and the intellect of the poster) are not too surprising.
One way to avoid this situation, which occurs despite having rules (which are there to be broken) and moderators (who are also people and are lead by their emotions too time by time), is to have more post by more people.
The only way to achieve this by having more people contribute and post regularly here. One way which comes to mind is to have (read force) people to post a minimum amount per period (once per month?) to keep their football plus "status".
Another way would be to allow more than just TM (or Iranian football) related topics in here. Have more "entertainment" and general topics in football+ for example.
This way we will "cure" the low number of post and we also have more frequent posts from more people, regarding various topics, which hopefully will prevent people getting enough of each other here and stop going at it all the time. Who knows maybe the Daei lovers and haters find out that they have the same hobby or like the same movie and will like each other a bit more and be able to take more before dishing out.
Food for thought......
