Daei
- He should have stayed. If a coach is delivering championship and has shown signs of improvement toward the end, he should be given more time as stability plays major role in success of a club.
With addition of a target forward like Ansarifard and a few more players, keeping the main core of the squad, and climbing the "learning ladder", there was a great chance for Daei and Perspolis to move up and deliver better results next season.
- He should have not made big deal about possible "coaching changes" behind the scene while struggling, as the matter looked bad for him to be an "excuse" rather than conspiracy.
Obviously, when the team plays bad and is not getting results, the club would look for replacement and that is not a conspiracy. It was no secret that Kashani and Estili are close friends, and he would be his next candidate. The rest are afterfacts.
Estili
- What a mess he is in! No coach can deliver under such conditions:
His main players were either absent, injured, or recovering from injury during training and preparation period. That is at least 13 players from the squad!
Season started unusally (for IPL standard) with four-days-a-match schedule.
And then, the obvious drama that has gone to the stands with chants to embarrase him as his team struggles to form in such a short time.
- In reality, Estili has a good squad and has shown good signs, especially with the help from his German assistant.
No result yet as the team still in "preparation" mode. But must be given time as management chose the "change" against "stability" already.
This is the side effect of "change" for all those asking for it. Now, the counter is back to zero and will stay low for a while.
Estili has a long way to go but if he survives the storm, and with minor changes, his team has potentials to deliver.
Fans
- They have the right to be upset. They are protesting to changes and how it was done, not to who is better (Estili or Daei).
They have taken Daei's side simply because they realize champion coach should not be changed. The majority of them know Daei's shortcomings in coaching as they showed it last season.
But they also realize bad management that changed a coach while climbing the learning ladder and delivering "improved results". They know the team could have done better if "stability+improvement" was chosen against "drastic changes".
- They are taking Daei' side simply because they are disgusted with poor management decisions!
Kashani
His best decision? To resign at the end of last season.
- Kashani should not be blamed for seeking new coach while Daei was struggling. He was getting ready ahead of time as transfer season would start and end shortly.
But when Daei took the matter to media, and then delivered a championship, it was time for one or the other to leave. And with championship in Daei's pocket, and stability factor on his side, Kashani's role to remain was nothing but "nothing"!
Who is to blame?
Horrible decision by Saeedloo, if his, to ask Kashani to return.
He should have realized the effects of such decision would put the two in awkward position and one or the other had to go. Champion coach with space to improve (both within himself and within his squad) was not the one to go.
Ironically, Saeedloo did go as well afterward, but the one who should have been gone and made the right decision initially, remained, and the rest are history.
Drama, side issues, and yet again one more season could go to waste for red fans to pay the price for lack of stability ......
