I just watched Ari Hans interview with Ferdosi Pour. As much as I like
Ferdosi Pour, his sense of professionalism was lacking when he was trying
to defend IFF and while conducting this interview.
here are some exchanges I found puzzling:
Perspolis Nojan game (on condition of the pitch)
Han: I don't care what people at state level have or have not done, it is
the responsibility of IFF to make sure the pitch is good before permiting a
game to be played.
Ferdosi Pour: But they don't have a good stadium in Sari!
Han: Fine then don't have the game in Sari
Ferdosi Pour: But they won the right through ballot!
Han: But the pitch condition is substandard
and Ferdosi Pour kept going and going, without making a point.
Han, is putting his finger on the root cause: Someone has to be responsible
and who better than federation? For instance, when Iran wanted to host
some Asian games, AFC rep came and visited Iran to give permit. So this
is very simple reasoning that for some reason Ferdosi Pour does not get and
needlessly aruges. Why? The condition of the pitch was simply embarrassing. Someone has to be accountable. Ferdosipour had no answer,
and did not seem able to accept a good answer either.
Next Ferdosi Pour asks why Han did not allow Madanchi and Kazemian to
join TM, and then let them go a day later? To which Han had a very
reasonable answer: Why did they exempt Saba Batry? Is your Jam Hazfi
less important?
Instead of Ferdosi pour accepting this response he needlessly continues to
argue about Sepahan.
Then Ferdosi pour brings on Esteghlal coach on line (through phone) and
talks to him while Han is there. This is not a very professional interview.
Ultimately, Ferdosi Pour is dragging a coach into IFFs lack of organization,
and accountablity and is not accepting rational argument. He wants Perspolis
to let go of its players, rather than IFF making proper schedules or doing
reschedule.
Han seems more interested in the integrity of his team and national league
than IFF. Makes sense too. If PP loses, Han will look bad. Han feels
responsible and is making all he can because he knows he is accountable.
Ferdosi Pour, in the traditional way that is customary in Iran wants to patch
things up and get a coach to let go of his players and ignore the bad pitch
condition and therefore our problems will forever continue.
