    The new comers

It appears that there new boys around the block.....no longer Saudi's or the Chineas or the Bahrainis,or North Korea....
    Here comes.....Thailand...Jordan.....Kuwait.....
I am not sure if these are good news for TM......as thailand is playing a respectable game,as does Jordan.......
while Australia and South Korea and japan do not show any sign of slowing down,..but at the lower level, the competitions just got stronger.

unfortunately saudis may just yet squeak by. we know the next two matches in asia are going to be 4 days apart with almost 95% of the teams having to travel all across the continent to conduct these two games. for example, we have to travel to bahrain and then immediately get up and travel all the way, cross the big continent, to indonesia within 4 days and play them.

guess which team falls into the lucky 5% who dont have to travel and stay at home while their visitors scamper all over asia and end up tired at their doorsteps.

somehow these guys almost ALWAYS get the best deals, best draws, best scheduling, best groups, best .... from AFC (cant say much for fifa though .... )
it's uncanny. I just cant understand it!
is it becoz they have god's home in their country? who is their "lobbyist"?

but deep down, I'd like to see the teams you mentioned (jordan, thailand, kuwait, ...) get a chance to play at the highest level for a change. so I'm hoping your predictions become true. fingers crossed

Jordan really seem on fire and seemingly will eliminate either Iraq or China.

Kuwait are great since last year already, their WAFF title was no co-incident but they were unlucky at AC. The 2-2 against Lebanon wasn't a good result though.

Thailand have a good coach, but under normal circumstances they will still be eliminated by the Saudis.

        Dont be delusional.

Saudi already has the toughest group of them all and you say they have a good lobbyist because they get to play a few back to back matches and avoid traveling???

best part is they have 2 east asian teams in their group and have to travel long distances while we have 2 teams who are literally next door to us.

also I would still hold my horses and not be too confident of qualification just yet.

I will only be convinced of qualification if we manage to beat Qatar at home

            no delusions haji.

first of all their group on paper and at the start of the draw was the easiest of all the other groups. easier than ours even.

now, it's a different matter that they somehow managed to fu*k up that easy group by losing to aussies at home and drawing with the other two teams. that doesnt take away from the fact that they got the easiest of the 5 groupings. .... once again

secondly, FYI jack, when someone says something like having God's home in their country and then continues to say who's their "lobbyist" (ie; in quotations"), you shd take that as humor and not literally.

now clap yer hands bo, clap yer hands an' sing dat hickiddy song

i have always witnessed quality football from Thailand and thought of them as the most Under-rated East asian supposed minnow..! they are just small people who get pushed around too easily on pitch and loose out close games mostly due mental weakness..!
im not sold yet on Kuwait's resurgence back to prominence..! & Jordan, i not so sure about, cant say i respect them much..! but do fear the overall quality of Uzbecks..!

im pretty much sure we are through to the next round by now..!! this is not the same ol Bahrain by any means and they are sure to loose to us again @ home, be it with a small margin..!! Rowdy home crowd and lengthy travel and crunch timing could possibly cause us 2 points away in Indonesia..! but im certain of a victory @ home to against Qatar, although their adopted foreigners do pose a threat, especially that African Keeper..! i dont see him letting in many goals..!

Jordan has so far been by far the most impressive and improved team of this round of the WCQ, 3 convincing wins, all with some startling score-lines gotta be fairly acknowledged and admired. I have a feeling China will most probably clinch the 2nd spot, this eliminating Iraq.

We often get these tight schedules when it comes to back to back matches in a span of 3-4 days, flying from one side of the continent to the other...

To call KSA's group "the toughest of all" is absolutely an overstatement and deserves an immediate permanent ban on the individual who makes such kinky claim! JK

It's quite hard to defy and overlook the birth of some countries as emerging powers of Asia, especially within the near future. Countries like Kuwait, Thailand, Jordan and even Indonesia are no longer just pushovers, no Asian powerhouse shall feel safe when encountering these teams when the results matter!

Nonetheless the level of Asian football is on the rise, and year after year we keep seeing tighter competition between all teams, teams like India have had some tremendous progress, while teams like Kuwait, Jordan find their way to their good old days once again!

                Good news for Asian football!

Now while you guys enjoyed reading my sexy post, allow me share my new GF's picture with y'all, may you enjoy this post even more:

For the record, this is my first post.

Again, It turned out that we have the easiest group and KSA is in one of the toughest ones so far. About Traveling, Hadi had a point with Qatar and Bahrain just next to us. Think about Australia for god sake when you call "travel". I haven't seen the schedule but isn't supposed to have one game home and one game away? How DD claims that we have two away games in a row? Still doesn't change much to fly from Qatar/Bahrain or Tehran for that matter.

I don't understand, we all saw the draw live on line. How on hell some one can cheat on that?

                  Cheers,

I saw the game between Thailand and Australia.........Thailand played excelently.........not just because a narrow loss minute 93+,loss 2-1,but also they were very active and imposed thier game on Australia ......they also beat OMAN 3-0, and tied The saudis 0-0 .....
                        .
North Korea...is a Joke....two losses, and 1-0 against tajikestan( The team that lost 8-0 to japan ).....,I wonder why did we let these guys play thier negative game against us.
                        .
The Saudis......even tied against OMAN...may be the weakest Team...they will be eliminated for sure.
                        .
China, tied even against the misrable lebanon......it is too late for them also........IRAQ and Jordan will advance from thier group.
                        .
Only Bahrain, will come back and qualify,...they will beat out QATAR,Indonesia, and tie IRAN on the secound round..and will qualify with Iran.
                        ..................................
The Top teams that most likely advance will be
                        ......
                        Japan,Uzbakistan...Jordan,Iraq......Australia,Thai land.....South Korea,Kuwait.......Iran,Bahrain
                        ...........................
Possible next and final round two groups could be something like this
                        .
                        Group A:
                        ---------------
                        1- japan
                        2-South Korea
                        3-Bahrain
                        4-Iraq
                        5-Kuwait.
                        ................
                        ................
                        ................
                        Group B :
                        ------------
                        1-Australia
                        2-Iran
                        3-Uzbakistan
                        4-Jordan
                        5-Thailand
                        ..............................

haji jan, I'm pretty sure there could be other hajis in the world too as there is no limitation to who visits mecca.

secondly, the two of you seem to confuse "given a tough group with strong teams" with "MAKING an easy group tough for oneself".
ksa was GIVEN a very easy group. just one major asian powerhouse (aussies) and two smaller ones. I'm sure japan would have loved to be in this one. so would iraq or china or .... etc.
now, if they go and screw up their first 3 games and get only 2 points, it cant suddenly become a tough group. it's saudi's fault. on paper and BY TRADITION saudi shd have walked over both oman and thais by now.

secondly, we have TWO AWAY GAMES in Nov.
first away to bahrain, then we have to travel to far east to play in indonesia mere FOUR days later.
                            in case we were wondering
in fact a large majority of teams have such travel schedule where they have to travel large distances to play the two november games. excpet one of two teams, one of which is ..... yup, you guessed right; the saudis

^ yea, chances are they will squeez through in a last gasp fashion..!
Not because of quality difference, but because they will have a Huge Mental & Confidence advantage over thialand @ the fact that they will be playing @ home..!
