We could not Run out of steam !

If we could learn anything out of Czech - saudis game was that the czechs were cautiouse initialy and saudi's were attacking, yet after a while ,the czechs figured the game out,and imposed thier system gradualy, which eventualy saudi's ran out of workable ideas as well as steam.
it is true, that this was only a friendly, and both sides wanted not to get hurt, and not to show too much.
The superior czech's ball control,as well as being taller, and more masculan, proved dicisive. At at the end, saudi's seemed resigned !
    .....................
It is absolutly imparetive, that TM not to run out of Idea, nor steam, nor fighting spirit. It is matter of playing with such teams that seem to have more arsenal at thier possetion, and know what to do in most circumstances.
Teams, that are very physical, and very profesional, and leave very little to luck !!!
It is a Dog fight !!, a fight we can not afford to back away !!
In our up comming game with croetia, we may see similar circumstances..yet, I hope, Brank's initiatives would not be ( "too khali "),and would have more punch than the saudis'.

    very true.
in general, it is imperative for ANY team ( read coach ) to not run out of ideas.

but what happens when the coach is one-dimensional ?
    just like kohan?
plans by coaches like these will be read and predicted by minute 30-35 of first half itself.

    what happens then?

zz jan, for example we never showed ANY variation in any of games in the past 2 years.
no variation of tactics or system.

I know some ppl's eyes are covered by the "score-lines" and that hides the above facts.
but this lack of variation and ideas is even more evident in games against macedonia, bahrain games , n korea ( @ tehran ), japan, ...... !

I agree DD jan...But question remains that if all is the responsibility of the coach ?or if players' own initiations demanded as well ?
A good attack usualy starts with a set-up play, that mostly originates from the midfield...Good players such as Maradona and zadan, always ,with thier body language and positionings sent a signal to other players as what will be unfolded in next 10 secounds. it seemed, the czech players ,were all able to originate a set-up for others,as our players do not......But, is it all the responsibility of a coach ? ....

I dont think we have such inferior players that are unable to do something close to those you mentioned.

        kia is brilliant.
nekounam, when on top of his game is pretty good.
        karimi is very good.
        and so on.

        so to answer you:
YES. it is the duty of the coach to galvanize these individual talents into a cohesive unit.
        to establish coordination and teamwork.
thus basing his system and strategies upon these factors.

branko has been incapable of doing this.

also he is really ( as I said earlier ) a one-dimensional coach with little imagination and versatility. proof of which is seen throughout his career at TM.

plz dont put down the players, just to excuse the failings of a undeserving assistant coach.
we are incapable of showing teamwork even against teams half our potential .
just watch n korea and bahrain games.
games that many base their opinions on the "score-line".
watch for any kind of teamwork and fluidity.

yes, it is the coach ( mostly ) ( who was given plenty and more than enough time to get going, unlike many of his predecessors ) , to carry the load of blame.
