The Omnipresence of Mayeli Kohan in Irania media

    Hello all;
I haven't been to the forums for a while and don't know if you have discussed this subjet or not. There is an issue that has been bothering me for a long time, and that is the omnipresence of Mayeli Kohan in Irania media.
For someone with a very week resume like his, he sure pops too many times up in TV, Radio or different newpapers with his illogical views on almost anything and his astonishingly childish behaviour.
He had good results with Iran's futsal and TM in '98 but has been failure after failure since then. His masterpiece in my opinion was failing to get past the 1st round of 2004 olympic qualification with a team that won asian games with Ivancovic a year earlier. Demoting Foolad to "daste 2" and gathering less average points eith Gahar while they were allowed to play in their home city are among his other achievements.
He has an opinnion on everythinh and afight with everyone, Ghalenoyee, Fatolahzadeh, Daei, rooyanian, Quiroz, foreign born players and recently the boxing federation!!!!
What I don't understand is why he gets so much "air time"? , isn't ut because the iranian media support "hashye" and are in love with it and senssibility, maturity and rationality are deemed overrated by them?
What do you think? If you agree with me can you think of ways to relay our opinnion to the nedia in Iran, for example 90?
    Thanks

I think as a person, he is not a bad guy, he just has issues which perhaps goes bacvk to his childhood. Certainly he's got big balls and says what's in his mind regardless of what the consequences may be. His coaching for sure is below even IPL standards, so let's not even go there, however his public demeanor has repeatedly tarnished his image over and over.

What thing though I truly admire about him is how he replied to Ferdosipour, for I am still in shocked by his big balls to make such statement on a national TV and before the most popular show Navad, you gotta check this out:

Spot on. With his personality and mannerisms Mayeli Kohan would have made a good football pundit on TV

I would like to remind some younger members that Mayeli Kohan was an extremely Gheyrati player. He ran and fought on the field 90 mins long. He was a great fighter!
Sadly, his coaching life is destroying the memories of his playing life.

I think he should be better off with youth teams as he can (maybe) teach younger players discipline and gheyrat....

          just my two cents...

(However, I wish him better luck in the future.)

            Amoo jaan,

Don't you think he is better off shaving the beard and only grow a thick mustache?

            Just my 2 cents...

he said he liked Dariush, so it would be inappropriate to shave the beard and grow a moustache.

However, if he would have said I liked Fereydoon Foroughi, then your argument would have been somewhat justified.
