Man CQ really shat the bed with some of these midfield selection. How many CDM are needed? Sarlak, Cheshmi, Ebrahimi, Norafkan and thats even before we get into the legionairres...

Yasin, Mehdipour, even somebody like khodabandelou for a preliminary squad friendly would have given an actual balance than whatever we just saw. 3 cdm on top of each other, none could complete two passes or penetrate into nicaraguan half once.

Amiri and Torabi as expected best players. Barzegar started off ok but second half was shocking. Ramin, Pag --> Huge decline since 2018.

The biggest lesson learned from this match is that we don't have a decent B team. But can't really blame CQ and his staff as he's only been head coach for 2 months and we've got all of these young talented headless chickens who need guidance and experience.

Not really impressed by Jalali, Noorafkan and Sarlak but it’s what’s Zahedi, Masoud Rigi, Mohebi could’ve helped but CQ is defensive minded

It appears that Akhbari, Niazmand, and Fallah are not on the World Cup roster, and Noorafkan may also be a candidate for exclusion based on Ebrahimi r injury status.

I hope this match humbles Iranian fans a bit. Khiabani for example talking about how all PGPL teams can beat Nicaragua, etc...
