Stop the nonsense please…..why else would the press conference and list announcement be delayed? This is a major announcement before a major tournament. You really think this got delayed bc CQ couldn’t make up his mind on the last player or two and needed more time?

IR is scared sh!fleas of azmoun and tried to intervene but CQ didn’t let it happen. That is the reality.

Our offensive debt is of a Big concern. Jahanbakhsh and Taremi Will play. We have an out of form Azmoun who May not get ready for the first match. Then it is Torabi, Ansarifard and Gholizadeh. The first 2 Have never really impressed me and Gholizadeh is only good coming from the bench. I really wished he had taking Zahedi or Hosseinzadeh. Specially Zahedi, as we need a number 9 we Can sub on. A number 9 that isnt Ansarifard

I knew it was crazy to hope for a few younger players to be invited but cmon man 4 keepers??? With azmoun having injury concerns, how are you not gonna bring in Zahedi? I would understand if Zahedi was a shorter guy but he is 6'1 and has a decent leap! I thought he would've been a good option off the bench when we are losing and need to throw someone on to make set pieces more dangerous.

Is the reason for 4 keepers due to a training thing? Like needing them for diff drills. But perhaps he felt he only needed 24 and figured he’d bring extra goalie just in case and doesn’t yet trust anyone besides Beiro

yep I agree someone like Zahedi, alipour, hosseinzadeh would be good. Heck even ghayedi despite his bad form. I think CQ wanted to make sure he only invite players he knows well and keep the team cohesion during the tournament. Funny how two guys who played under wilmots and skocic (mohebi and noorafkan) don’t even make the final squad

That's a fair list - in the last world cup people were on his back about unexpected decisions (which he tends to be vindicated on) but this time he hasn't had the chance to bring blood and bed new players in the team

ebrahimi situation has been monitored and assessed the last few days, TM doctors already ruled him out. same with sayyadmanesh who hasn’t even started full training yet……again I’m not sure why you’re trying to avoid admitting the very obvious occurrence.

He hasn't paid much attention to Zahedi at all so this would be a surprise, although a welcome one because we could really do with him as Plan B
