honestly I watched hosseinzadeh closely last few games. He could be in the list, yes. But make an impact on WC level, I highly doubt it. It would have been more a nice thing in terms of giving him experience. And ultimately with a few camps with TM, maybe he could actually make impact, but just 3 games this season for charleroi is not enough to guarantee inclusion.

Zahedi I think issue may have more been attitude/no guarantee of his mesh with the team off the field.

He also did not have guarantee ghoddos, Dejagah and Gucci would mesh with the rest out the field but took them because we had literally nobody. Now we have also almost nobody as a striker beside Taremi. Azmoun is a question mark, Ansarifard isn't a guarantee of high level. At least we need an other striker just for quantity. Injuries, suspension, games we fall behind..

Rameen Rezaiean selection was most likely just out of desperation for not having any viable sub for Moharrami who is not all that great of a player neither.

Rameen's style of play and personality on the field is a deficit. He has not been successful in his club football anywhere! Nobody wants him once they discover how much of a nut case he is.

i think CQ was at least somewhat advised/swayed away from even giving a trial to Zahedi in the prior call up and his intense stance against IR on SM played a major role in his eventual absence..!!?
i believe had he invited him in the mix for the uruguay friendly then he woulda surely made him part of his final squad list..!!
On Sardar, im certain CQ was intent on taking him along even if he was completely crooked and stood little to no chance of making an appearance in gutter, and Carlito simply isnt the type(eskoocher) to be pushed around and denied on his preferred travel squad choices by anyone in the federation..!! simple as that..!

still think taking 4 keeper his most retarded decision in this call up list... (even if one has injury concerns..!!) otherwise no surprises and just about as good of list as its available ..!!

overall less controversial than his 2014 call up list ..!! GO TM...!!

There is also a rule, that 24hours before your first match, means for Iran until Sunday, 16:00 Doha time, he can nominate other players or switch. probably he is still hoping for place 26 for mid ebrahimi, or is not sure about player 26. but I think mohebbi and this hosseinzadeh from Belgian team should have me the list instead of 4th gk and for player 26.

ghoddos was involved in multiple camps/matches pre WC. Same as dejagah and gucci who were involved in the qualification process...not sure what point you are making there!

Totally different to bringing in new guy before first game of WC into the team for first time, with only a week to prep him.

Zahedi diminished his own chances with kiri move to puskas, where often he has been coming off bench (effectively). A few performances in CL for Shakhtar probably would have given him the spot!

Still out of all these exclusions (really only 3-4 guys given how thin our talent pool is), I think Zahedi is the main "snub".

Hosseinzadeh as you mention, fits into a pattern with his evaluation of belgian league. Kaveh as top scorer was not taken in 2018. And 3 games is not enough, maybe a full season or at least 10 games.

5 subs allowed. Benefits big teams but also Iran because of the tactical system. Players will get fatigued and this helps tremendously.

LOL how old are you? 15? 16? If what Kateb said is true then it would be the same high level issue that was rumored to exist with the exclusion of azmoun which is interference from IFF/IR in CQ’s plans. The specifics of if it’s the players not singing the national anthem or azmoun for posting on IG supporting protests is all the same topic. Don’t come here questioning my class or looking for an apology…..take a minute to educate yourself and keep it moving.
