I watched the highlights from our games with Angola and Bulgaria. I got the impression that our pace, one-touch and passing have improved. We play on the ground rather than relying on hopeless crosses, but most importantly, we can keep the ball for more than 10 seconds. Did we just face weak opponents or have we actually improved?

On the other hand, we had absolutely the lowest pass accuracy of all 32 teams.
Since our players are the same and we haven't played much since WC, I doubt our passing accuracy has improved.
Perhaps when we are leading and not being put under pressure, we are more accurate and look better.
But don't count on it come competitive games/tournaments!

The amount of distance covered was probably from our attackers contributing heavily in defence.

That's what I thought. I was just hoping GN had done some wonders in the tactical area, but TM playing with the same accuracy and link up play against stronger teams, like Korea or Japan is unlikely.

That's because our tactics HAVE improved.
2 months ago Antonio Manicone joined as Ghalenoei tactical assistant and right hand man. He is former Swiss national team assistant coach and has been assistant to teams like Bologna, Inter, etc.
If you have noticed our wingers cutting inverted and deep, that's probably him. He's taken over tactics from GN. You could see him talking to GN when camera cut to him during Angola match. He's been pretty involved

On a sad note, we would have been a real powerhouse in international football if we weren't boycotted and had a decent federation.
