GN makes it so difficult to respect him. He just can not stfu about personal drama (16 minute mark) and how he was poorly treated in 2007, during a press conference about tomorrow's match.
Just give generic answer and talk about tomorrow's match like professional.

It's the GN show it seems. He is a vatani coach, you can't expect him to be professional and put aside drama, it's part of his DNA. Us Iranians love playing the victim, shifting blame, saying it was just unlucky, and looking for drama.
you can't do anything about the length of your life, but you can do something about its width and depth

He’s so thin skinned!
Every interview he does involves a matalk which also doesn’t translate well to the foreign media.
I saw a recent headline that said Manchini the Saudi coach has enemies in Iran now. I watched the interview and it was him thanking Manchini for the compliment and saying now he has lots of enemies in Iran (because of complimenting Iran as one of the strongest teams and GN’s haters getting angry lol)

reporter knew what he was doing. He bought up 2007 and GN fell for it.
^ he has been waiting for this moment for 17 years to say he was great but got unfairly fired. LOL.. I feel sorry for him because he did get a very tough reception in Iran after the loss in penalties against S. Korea in the AC 2007.
Here is a little story of the game against Korea:
" Amir Ghalenoei After a quarterfinals finish during the 2007 Asian Cup, Ghalenoei was on the outs as Team Melli manager late in the year. Iran lost out to South Korea in a penalty shoot-out. Ghalenoei was after the game heavily criticized for substituting the goalkeeper just prior to the shoot-out."
If you remember just before the shoot out, he took out Roudbarian and put Talebloo in and we lost 4-2

'yani halamo beham mizane in bashar. I have never seen a person with so much oghdeh. Imagine in the press conference before a crucial game, he once again brings up his oghde story from 17 years ago.

That's the annoying part. You'd think an experienced coach would be mature enough to deflect such question in a press conference of an international tournament
And beside low class GN, also our reporters are not better either. They have no clue what journalism means, what/when/Where to ask certain questions. Like when the start asking Branko about PP in his PC before a crucial game.

On football360, they said his friends keep telling him to avoid these traps, but he doesn't listen!
It really did a psychological number on him, the way he was treated after AC 2007.
