We had 72% possession in the first half.
12 shots on target.
86% pass accuracy in the first half. 82% overall.
Even after the mental collapse of our players our stats were better than Japan's against Bahrain.
Also, stats prove how good Cheshmi is for us EVEN as a CB. https://www.fotmob.com/matches/syria...1ek25f#4394637
The criticism GN is facing is laughable.

These ratings dont mean much, just look at samans ratings for brentford.
We dominate the opposition. But if you don't convert chances you get punished. Taremi and Azmoun are on the top of the stats of the players in this tournament that have missed clear-cut chances. 3 missed by Taremi and 3 missed by Azmoun.
Also the Saman example is not fair, because Saman for Brentford is out of position and playing well under those circumstances. Not exceptional. So stats suggesting such are probably accurate. Saman as a LB is not better than an above-average LB in the Premier League.

The hell with all stats if it does not take into account if a player is slow as a turtle and makes fatal mistakes.
The only stat that really matters is the final score.

"This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh
