I felt taking players like ansarfarid and cheshmi to the Asian cup was a complete waste we treated Hong Kong like they were England with that line up
I felt overall we didn’t experiment enough in the Asian cup and now we are playing catch-up with a coach who’s too scared to integrate youth or make a mistake

We overrate experience too much around here, maybe because everyone is old and relates.
Experience never stops Beiranvand from getting worse every year, or Haj Safi from actually defending our left side, or Noorafkan from skying the ball to the moon vs Uzbek, or Jahanbakhsh from making a weak back pass.
Look, against Japan GN stubbornly trusted in a young Mohebi despite none of us doing so, and he was arguably MOTM. Please stop making it seem like the gap is so big. Maybe between a few players but your average PGPL player like Kanaani isn't better than Hazbavi who is growing every game.
Also these are professional athletes who play 50+ games a year at club level in their positions, gotta define what you mean by "experience". Is it literally just because they're young? Or because they don't have tournament experience for the mental strain they have to go through? whoever thinks the former I advise you to stop being behind the times. If it's the latter it's valid imo but only in certain conditions.
Nevertheless in qualifier games against minnows we need to do start half young half experienced. Otherwise GN is a coward.
