    Just a friendly reminder.

Even though CQ and Klinsman might take this political, please continue on the other than sports/politic posts and discussion aspect in the correct threads.

Maybe start a Klinsman thread? 😁

Not many hours left to the game of the century. 😀

Who is this Gabby Logan, the provocateur, who characterizes our players' actions as "gamesmanship"? She's the one who started this idiotic row. What exactly did Iran players do to be labeled as such? They pressed the referee to take another look at that foul on Taremi because initially he was going to show a yellow card. The hard foul could have caused Taremi serious injury, and it deprived him from scoring a sure-fire goal. This is how their biases manifest themselves, or they may just be trying to unsettle the Iranian team. The players did not show gamesmanship. They showed pure emotion, born out of multiple elements: their solidarity with their people back home, the pressure exerted on them from all sides, and finally, the sweet taste of victory that they worked so hard to bring to fruition. They should be praised, not mocked or derided, for having accomplished that much under such difficult circumstances.

what's infuriating about this klinsman situation is that BBC had the hitjob highlight reel of apparent iranian "dirty plays" tee'd up before klinsman even spoke on it. it was clearly one of their planned talking points for the evening. the british koon-soozi is lovely to watch though. these racist pricks still haven't woken up to the fact that their time in the sun has passed. the UK is an irrelevant island in modern times and will become only more irrelevant as the middle east, asia and africa flourish.

we're all critical of the corruption that handed qatar the event but they simply capitalized on a corrupt system to further their own interests, just like any other country would. bbc's coverage of the qatar world cup has been disgracefully political.

Her father played for and managed Wales. Robson-Kanu on the panel was a former Wales international.
I fully expected their partisan coverage of the match.

The attacks on Iran were disappointing but not surprising at all.

we should not blame Klinsmann too much. After all it is part of the German culture to attack those who cannot defend themselves😂😂

His response was such a gaslight. He makes it sound like it was all meant to be a positive compliment (conveniently forgets he implicated Iranian culture at least 3 times), and that it's all behind us (even though CQ has not said it's behind him; quite the contrary). What a weak piece of sh*t, trying to save his non-existent "career".

He is just worn-out bitch. A BBC presenter/pundit is
always reminded of the code of practice neutrality/correctness/respect
nonracist comments etc but when this guy still comes out with that
BS shows in private he is most likely
a very grumpy old racist arsehole. But it is also a pre-emptive
move to prevent us from being passionate and protest on the side line
in the game against USA. It is not an Iranian thing, every nation
does it when they see a wrong decision by the refs. So I would say
f*** you and do even more at the side lines just to make him
even more grumpy and make every nerve in his old body twitch.

                  نگاه میکنید.

LOL. Amazing how he tries to blame it on us being angry at him for being the former US coach.

My 50 cent on this: We need to chill. Klinsmann was referring to the footballing culture, not 5000 years persian culture of course. And he is right to some point. Remember the Iran 0 Japan 3 match? We were all complaining about the constant discussions with ref that lead to the first goal for Japan. And when it comes to physical approach and emotional attitude: this is discussed all the time regarding south american teams, and nobody gets pissed.
He is wrong by justifying the defeat with those aspects though. Iran won cause they had the better game plan, transition from defense to offense worked and they should have scored earlier. Wales had no plan how to react.

Guys. I am a little worried about CQ giving so much praise to the US team, I hope he doesn't overestimate them. Do you think his praise is just his way to relax the players so they don't feel too much pressure to win, or do you think he believes they are the better team?
