The number and name on shirt for our players are out.

    About the number, nothing surprising.
About the name on shirt, there is no uniformity. Once the first, an other the last name, or both or first letter of the first time+ last name.
Fortunately not much only first name

I guess CQ will start with Taremi alone against England and play 4-5-1 ? England is not an unbeatble team in my eyes, they may have been if they fired Southgate long time ago
Slow but decent distributor. Ok at the defensive end.
I’ve never been a big fan but we’re desperate.

He has already. I red yesterday that CQ has forbidden all social media activities for players during WC expect contacts with their family.

"This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh

I have to give credit for CQ keeping team composure with all the stuff going on in Iran. With skocic it would be a mess. CQ seems to have the boys fully locked in and concentrated. I think the team knows many in Iran don’t support them which is why they went to the childrens hospital, for CQ to show the team there are still young kids in Iran they can play for to make happy

Really? Where do you get that idea from? I don't think that is
true. Besides Playing in the WC is every nation's athlete and people's desire
and dream to participate. It is ab excuse for our people to come on the streets
in hundreds of thousands to celebrate and chant against the dictator.

So the Sky reporter asks "Are you ok to represent Iran at the world cup when you know they suppress their women" or something like that?
His answer is classic. What his answer means is that he is a professional head coach
and get paid for what he does as a professional. So how much will you pay me to answer
that question. Come back after the world cup with your offer.

I would say a better version of Sarlak but always has injury issues.

It's a legit question. And regarding his answer that all Iranian players are allowed to protest according to FIFA laws. That sounds like an answer IR says, in that it leaves out the fact of the penalties imposed if they do (financial, including ironically FIFA bonuses, legal, and physical). It sounds as genuine as Zarif saying, "Of course there is Free Speech in Iran!" I don't know the details but I have heard CQ was involved with Sardar taking his Mahsa story down early on.

                                Yup, CQ did.

CQ is there to coach and cares for football results. That's it. He's helped the TM financially and is a great coach.

What happens as far as a revolution in Iran doesn't affect him - although it will cause he can help Iran. But he's just thinking of short-term. He's a foreigner, let's not be hard on him.
