Calling Omid Ebrahimi and Ansarifard .. Seriously?

What the heck is Asadi doing in the list. This guy is one of the worse footballers I have ever seen.

Asadi is the top scorer in PGPL right and just scored an amazing goal against Persepolis. His invite makes the selection appear based on merit.

        Don't know about Karim though.

If he is the top scorer of the league then God help the rest!

Karim is a pretty big presence in the locker room for the team. He always gives speeches to the team and motivates everyone, trying his best to create order. Here is one example speech he gave in locker room for Iran vs Iraq during WCQ

Ngl that video convinced me to keep him as our bench warmer

              What a speech!

"This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh

TM is practicing in Dastgerdi (Pas) stadium.
a great little stadium in Tehran that is FIFA accredited, is in the city, and has a great pitch.

Iraq and Afghanistan would play their national team games here before that whole Saudi embassy fuckup.

a shame a team like Pas that had a solid academy and facilities even 20 years ago was destroyed.

As a head coach, yeh it would be depressing. But as a specialized coach in the right area, he could be very useful. He is, by far, one of the most technically astute, intelligent, and heads-up forward/AM ever for Iran. I think he was better than Karimi because he actually minimized his touches on the ball, and passed to others who were in a better position.

If he can impart half of that expertise to players like Mohebbi, we will benefit.

AK8 was our visionary MF maestro and imo the classist and best all around skilled footballer ever in iran football...! but Azizi was far superior attacker/goal scorer ..!

and yes Azizi's footballing intellect was indeed off the charts, though sadly didnt translate much to diplomatic or managerial pedigree..!! perhaps victim of his own success and popularity and ensuing big ego i guess..?

i also think his presence in limited coaching capacity within TM currently is a definite plus ....
Besides he is Mashhadi .... which already by default makes him The Superior Iranian ..!

Fully agree, except for last part. As my username suggests, everyone, and I mean everyone should realize that Esfoonis are the superior breed of Iranians.

Lebanon and Palestine are playing each other tomorrow in a neutral venue in UAE.
