I agree with the sentiment, instead it will be better for IPL to mandate all teams must half U23, and half of those U23 be U19. I think that is a better format as oracle jan mentioned earlier in another thread. Will organically disperse them throughout the league. More than that, if anything the federation needs to figure out a way to get these kids to europe, improve youth advertising somehow

U17 is way too young for that, if anything a U23 team but not sure how they would balance that and club duty.

He's spot on about corruption in IFF and lack of strong friendlies.


The Messi/Argentina thing is just a popularity move almost every Arab country has tried to pull for international breaks/Summer camps and is ultimately useless. We pay Messi to show up he plays one game, and then goes home. So what?

He could have spent the time to talk more about how poor youth infrastructure, long term planning, and corruption is but obviously that would attract the attention of the top brass government types.
