I don't understand the mess of Azadi renovation : the new seats are green, quite modern mosaic and promising (reminds me the new basra stadium one) but only on 40% of the stadium!! The rest is the old seats (blue with white triangle), wtf!!
It seems all the new seats aren't green so we will certainly see the shitty rainbow naqshe jahan color mix somewhere

because there was so much pressure to open the stadium soon, the contractor had to stage the work.

The stadium required significant structural renovation.

The east wing of the stadium is part of phase ii! If they get the required budget.

That means is not open 100% and will get dragged for another 3 years.
In reality they don't want it 100% done so they can crowed control.

The surface stuff is nice but what was important is they redid the plumbing, wiring, completely new mechanical and electrical rooms, bathrooms, vip rooms, even a few suites, referee rooms, studio rooms, new camera locations, an entirely new tunnel (players and media have separate tunnels now)…

lots more stuff but the most important and time consuming thing was reinforcing the structure using micropiles. Most fans won’t notice it but that’s what really had to happen ultimately for a 50+ year stadium.
hole they do it for the east side soon.

^ A very extensive restoration and renovation. They did a renovation around 2002 but that was nothing compared to this. I agree that they should do the East side very soon and not delay it for too long.

Instead
40k azadi 2 project got the ok to re start again.
Around 27 YEARS AGO if some of you remember they start building the azadi 2 stadium it was suppose to be state of an art for women . It has gotten shut down 2 times since , but finally contract was awarded to same people that is renovating azadi.
The project got the ok of sm and its under plan check again.its not going to be for women's only and they all will share.
