theoretically. I believe this is untested technology in a real world high attendance volume setting

Apparently this referee is inexperienced on international level even though he's 43. His only experience is a Junior WC. He has average 7 cards each game.

I read somewhere in UK tabloid that England players are going
to do the knee thing before the game.
Our players should do something in order to neutralise
the psychological effect of this gesture on themselves before the game.
What do you think they should do if this happens?
I think they should hold hands to form a circle.

Or if already in position they should form a circle
with their arms above their heads the symbol of women

Alan Whittle, the first Englishman to ever play in Iran, remembers his time as a player for Persepolis in the 1970s, and talks about his expectations for tomorrow's game:

Hajsafi has really grown on me in recent times. Yeah he has same deficiencies as usual but fact he went back to europe for respectable team, is in solid form, has kept himself extremely fit, and seems to be a real leader off the pitch. Plus always coming across as serious, mature, and well spoken. An important character to have in the squad. Not really sure what more haters would like him to say in this statementā€¦

Bravo. And he ended with wishing to make our people happy.

though will be conveniently forgotten/ignored by the ā€œthis is IRā€™s/Mullahā€™s teamā€ cool kids because it doesnā€™t fit their agenda/narrative.

Alexi Lalas talking crap this morning before the opener (as usual) saying the US is better than Iran and Wales and he expects the US to come out of this group. The blind hubris based on absolutely no data is quite a marvel. Hope we can make him eat his words. May still be sore from 1998 though (where he rode the bench against Iran), lol.

Good. This mentality falls right into CQ's trap.
