As it was said we usually struggle against teams which are physical and play direct football,. I am not much optimist and motivated this team but let see..

Please if you choose an allstar team, taking Beiro over Hejazi is madness

Haha it is not a allstar team, just players from our former generation that would fill the position we struggle in right now.

I wonder if CQ will add an extra central defender...he never tested that before, so probably not, although we don't know what was tested against Tunisia.

Yeah but I think he would rather add that player in midfield, meaning he would play with 3 defensive MF. Cheshmi, Ezzi and Nour

I also think that a 3rd CM is more likely than back 5, but that's based on how CQ has set up historically.

Wouldn't completely rule out a surprise from cq for England match though....haven't faced a team with this combination of style and quality in a while, if ever.

if CQ could manage a similarly compact, resolute and organized whole team defensive posture as we did in vs Spain at WC18...?? then i fancy our chances of winning this match narrowly..!!

off course English are a far more Direct/Fast and Physical opponent than Spain so that I think that would be incrementally tougher task to pull off an organized Park the Bus tactic …
but by the same token I see the English to overcommitted to attacking this more vulnerable to conceding from a swift counter attacks..!

The longer we can keep the game scoreless the better chances of winning it late narrowly.,!
Starting to get really excited..! 😁Go TM..!💪😎

Are you are right. Another thing that concern me is the wings. England are very good, we can make sure that we are compact in the mid but then the wings might be opened up if we concentrate to much to the mid.

We need to score the 1st goal, simple as that.
Something we didn’t manage against Yugoslavia, Germany, Argentina, Spain, Portugal.

yeaup .... or not concede and keep the score level and get something from every game... then ultimately we have a decent mathematical chance of getting outa groups finally..!!

biggest knock on CQ ball is that once his teams concede the first goal then by enlarge they are fooked and get nothing from it..!! i dont recall the last time a CQ coached team came back from behind and salvage something from game..? 🫤
