Do you guys think that England suits us better than Portugal and Spain or worse?

You can't say it so clearly, England are stronger than Spain and Portugal in terms of their physicality in their style of play. Tactically, playfully and defensively, I think they are weaker than Spain and Portugal. Their strong physicality and speed will definitely cause us difficulties, especially because we are not used to teams being a big threat to Iran in the air or through their physicality in Asia. On the other hand, England have glaring weaknesses in defence. Look at it this way, Tunisia played a great game against England at the 2018 World Cup, and they kept it 1-1 until the 92nd minute. However, this team is weaker than in 2021 or 2018, especially since the last European Championship, England has significantly degraded.

I think CQ will use a similar strategy for England as he did vs. Argentina (which worked until minute 93!). I recall that he had told his players to put two defenders between Messi and the goal at all times. I can see him doing the same against English strikers and play off counters for a possible Iran goal. A tie will be a win for Iran, if you know what I mean.

The problem is that England are much more comfortable than Argentina with over the top crosses and chips to runners like Sterling/Foden. We need them to have a bad day first and foremost and avoid conceding in the first half. If those two criteria are met the real game starts in the second half.

Yea but imagine Wales having 4 points After a victory against usa and draw vs Iran. We then have 1 point before the last match. This scenario is a Big possibility. We have to Beat USA and hope England beats Wales. And honestly I Think that Will end up in a draw. England resting players for the knockout rounds and Wales parking the bus. Wow I can’t believe how close we are until this match, felt like it would never happen. England has some strong attacking options, but they will be under serious pressure if we manage to hold them versus it’ll really boost our confidence. Knowing how Southgate moves, he would start with full power. Kyle walker is injured he won't make it for first game but the rest of the players are ready to smash iran.

The English mentality: If i win the easy game then i have 2 more chances for win to advance. So I would play with the best and get the 3 points required.

So if England wins the first game , then also win/draw against USA, then they are pretty much qualified. So the chances are they would take the last game easy and avoid injuries for next stage.
