England have had trouble scoring goals this year. Sterling has been awful for Chelsea this season but will certainly start.

They struggle against teams who play the low block and Iran under CQ against big nations in the WC have only conceded one goal.

England could score 1, maybe 2 but I fancy Iran to get a goal with Slabby Maguire in defence, another guaranteed starter.

I'm going 0-0 at half time, after that it's anyone's guess.

Yea I agree ! miracles do happen but if you look at it realistically, Iran does not have much chance of beating england.

I think one player will do something stupid, england scores and then the game opens up and we concede the 2nd goal.

I was generous with the score line , Otherwise I also see a 3 - 0 , similar to japan game.

If Hungary could rape them over 2 games, a draw should be doable. Remember, CQ holds a PhD in Draw.

Dear, it would be appreciated if we dont compare a footballgame to that hoirrible act and use other words than that. Surely there is alternatives such as destroy etc. Seen this word used as description here and there and as it would raise eyebrows to use it as comparison at lets say work, its inappropriate here.

This is not realism; it's cynicism at its best, which seems to come naturally to us. In 2014, before the game against Argentina, a friend of mine predicted a "comedy show". Yet we nearly managed to pull off a draw against the team with arguably the greatest player on the planet (at least at that time).

My concern is big tall forwards like Kane, Bale.
Dzeko, Zlatan are just couple examples. Our D usually have hard time vs such players, specially on air.

Another issue is, not sure this team will maintain the same fitness level for 3x90 mins. And specially at the last 15 min of the game. The squad is 4 years older.
