Keeper is the key.
Oman always had top level keepers.
Keeper will give the whole team extra confidence with couple of crucial saves, in other hand one or two bad goals and the whole energy will be drained.
Oman and Germany game was all about their keeper. Result could have been much different without him.
It's going to be an exquisite, very much needed game, experience for TM. Nothing more. For those who think that we're going to beat them, you are a bit...deluded maybe? They're getting ready for war with us.

If Hungary could rape them over 2 games, a draw should be doable. Remember, CQ holds a PhD in Draw.
Dear, it would be appreciated if we dont compare a footballgame to that hoirrible act and use other words than that. Surely there is alternatives such as destroy etc. Seen this word used as description here and there and as it would raise eyebrows to use it as comparison at lets say work, its inappropriate here.
Thanks In advance.

Thank you keshwardoost, well said. We should not use that word in that context anymore
Another issue is, not sure this team will maintain the same fitness level for 3x90 mins. And specially at the last 15 min of the game. The squad is 4 years older.

I have a feeling CQ will rotate lineups a bit. He knows he shot himself in the foot with lack of rotation in the first 2 games of 2014…..2018 he did better in that department so I think we will be fine

I just rewatched the Spain game from last World Cup and expect CQ to set up in a similar way tactically against England.
Break up the play and hit on the counter, we need to make sure we just don’t boot the ball up front and keep composed when we get it and most importantly get it to Taremi.

I also don’t expect England to be able to hold possession nearly as well as Spain did in 2018. They are definitely prone to mistakes. That’s when we can potentially punish then.

In my opinion, in the last three televised matches that CQ has been in charge since his return, he has shown no indication that he is going to play like 2018 Spain game. I have a feeling that he is going for it a little more this time around. And there are two reasons that I can think of for this change. First of all, Taremi/Azmoun/everyone has developed a self belief and want to compete, not just defend. And secondly, CQ's bounce probably jumps if we get to the second round; playing like Spain gives us an aberomandaneh performance but hard to advance... but going for it, while can get us blown out also can get us advanced.
I believe we'll play against England like we played against Portugal and then go toe to toe against Wales and USA.

I agree. That Spain midfield had Iniesta, an in form Isco, David Silva etc.
Bellingham and Rice are good players but they are young and still not at the top of their game. Obviously our midfield isn’t near that level also but if we are well organised (which is one of CQ’s skill) then we can take advantage. Taremi is one of the best in the world I think at hustle too.
