I looked at it briefly but some quick takeways.
- we ran more as a team (shocking I know)
- Our fast players are fast (Sadegh has 2nd highest match speed among both teams)
- Our slow players are very slow (look at Cheshmi, Karimi and Ezatollahi. Ezathollahi's speed is shocking.
- We play a 4-4-2 when we are trying to receive the ball (at least according to the graphic)
Bring in Torabi, Bring in Amiri. I know fans hate them, but they know how to play well and will protect much better on the wings.

The concussion protocol fails
It only took until a little more than 15 minutes into the second game of the tournament for FIFA’s recently adopted concussion protocol to go out of the window.
Iran goalkeeper Ali Beiranvand had bravely clawed away a cross from Kane when he clashed heads horribly with team-mate Majid Hosseini on the edge of their six-yard box. Though the defender was soon up on his feet, splashing water on his face, Beiranvand lay prone, clutching at his forehead and a bleeding nose while being attended to by two of Iran’s medical staff.
There followed a prolonged period that stretched close to 10 minutes while Beiranvand was assessed out on the pitch. At one point, he slumped back down onto his back in clear discomfort. By then, the number of Iranian staff at his side had swollen to three and the referee was also nearby. Queiroz eventually dispatched his backup goalkeeper to warm up.
Beiranvand was unsteady on his feet when he eventually stood up but the assumption was he would be replaced. His replacement in waiting, Hossein Hosseini, certainly anticipated entering the fray.

Instead, it appeared that Beiranvand somehow persuaded the medics, the referee and his team-mates that he was OK to continue. They helped him change his shirt in the goalmouth and wiped the blood from his face. Then they watched him, shaky on his feet, as he belted the resultant goal kick towards halfway. And they alerted the bench as he inevitably sank back to his haunches again seconds later, signalling to the bench for him to be replaced.
He eventually departed, clearly dazed, on a stretcher, his World Cup possibly over already with Iran’s remaining two group games to be played in the next eight days.
The general secretary of FIFPro, the global players’ union, tweeted his disapproval.

2nd match of World Cup, further proof concussion protocols are not up to task. Alireza Beiranvand should have been immediately taken to dressing room and properly assessed. That’s why we have been pushing for temporary concussion substitutes with IFAB for years!

Read 2 replies FIFA staged a two-day workshop event in July showcasing the on-field medical services that would be available at this World Cup.
Along with concussion substitutes, albeit not temporary ones, FIFA stressed its protocol is based on “suspect and protect”, and trumpeted that an injury spotter — who would analyse any relevant medical incidents — would be present at games, observing from the media area up in the stands. This person would have access to video replays and would alert FIFA’s medical coordinator to any signs of a potentially serious injury.
And yet, despite all that, Beiranvand had managed to convince the on-field medics that he should be allowed to continue, albeit only for a few seconds. Which rather made a mockery of it all.

Queiroz selection mistakes
Carlos Queiroz’s line-up should have been the first sign that something could go seriously wrong for Iran on the night.
Defender Hossein Kanaanizadegan, who played more games and more minutes than anyone in Iran’s qualifying campaign, was left on the bench, alongside several other key pieces of a defensive unit that allowed only eight goals across 18 qualifiers: namely fellow defender Shojae Khalilzadeh, and defensive midfielder Saeid Ezatolahi.
All were supposedly fit enough to play, and one wonders if maybe Queiroz overthought his approach to this game with the supposedly easier contests against Wales and the USMNT upcoming.
Their replacements could fairly be blamed for most of England’s goals.
Roozbeh Cheshmi, who didn’t play at all in qualifying, was badly positioned for Bellingham’s opening header. Milad Mohammadi, who has not been in good form for AEK Athens, was repeatedly beaten and saw two goals come from his side of the pitch. Ezatolahi’s leadership and steely play in midfield might have been useful against an England team who love to possess the ball.
There were no obvious reasons for none of those three to not be on the pitch against Iran’s strongest group opponents.
Losing standout goalkeeper Alireza Beiranvand to a head injury early on didn’t help, but Iran seemed mismatched from the start.....

Again, all of Pickfords completed passes were short passes except one.
Hosseini had zero attempted short passes.
Edited: Thanks so much for posting this. Huge amount of data on the game.

I always wanted to know our players top speed and finally FIFA is providing this data for us. We should not over extrapolate from this data as it is from one game only and opportunities for sprinting at top speed may not have been available for every player but it generally confirms what we already knew. Our fastest sprinters are Nourollahi and Moharami at 32.5 and 32.3 mph respectively. Our slowest is Ezatollahi at 25.8 mph.

I was reading the only way Fifa allow and justify 6 subs , it is concussion approval by Fifa official.
