That was a tactical disaster and Carlos only has himself to blame.

5 defenders and 3 CDMs and he chose to not press AT ALL and only fill spaces. Our team has never played that way and he tested it on a top level speedy team. His tactic was completely wrong. He was purely invested in keeping England scoreless at half

In what world do hosseini, Cheshmi and Pouraliganji start over Kanaani and Shoja? Why was Mohammadi on he field he hasn’t had a good game in 2 years! Ali Karimi over Ezatolahi, really?! No Ghoddos and played Jahanbaksh out of position. And last but not least, Hosseini over Abedzadeh, with zero hit game experience.

He tried to correct every mistake with the subs he brought on, why didn’t he just start them? Sorry Carlos but you fucked us over with this selection

This was not a question of who was or wasn't in the starting lineup today. The pressure on the players from what is happening in Iran were obvious from when they were walking out of the tunnel but more importantly it was the depth of difference between the two teams. the fact is England quality and level is much higher than Iran and the style they play is just something we havent experienced before and had no answer for. This was the best learning experience for our team.

And let's be honest with ourselves, this should have easily been the score against Argentina, Spain, Portugal and even Morrocco in the last world cups. We were a bit more organized, lucky and more importantly in a different state of mind.

Let's see what happens next. I would not say we will advance with 6 points from the two remaining matches. Team at the moment is demoralized! .. Didn't you hear the crowd chanting "Bi-Sharaf". How can you play under those circumstances.

Expect for Argentina, this COULD have been the score. It's just pure luck not to get scored on because the attacking team chokes in front of the goal. It might work once or twice, but it can also easily result in what we just witnessed.

- I know we didn’t have a chance against this English team ,,, but losing beiravand was a massive lose for us massive lose ,,,

- cheshmi, majidi I don’t think they should be in the starting line up anymore too god dam slow zero pace for these type of teams we are facing

- i know in CQ mind he wants to play defense but , the 2nd half could have been 3-3 , If Sardar had scored,,, once he brought offensive players we had a chance at least ….

- we have 2 games , we need 2 wins or we out , we can not play a game in the World Cup with 8 defensive players and except to get a result , I hope this served as a wake up call and made use realize we need to have a balanced team to have a chance

The lineup lost us the game. CQ has blood on his hands for that.

Afterwards, individual performances of Milad, Cheshmi, Pouraliganji, Jahanbakhsh were pathetic. Those 4 should not play again this WC.

Nourollahi was a level above thsoe but he is so bad with the ball, like an amateur with his first touch and body positioning when recieving.

Positives were it seems CQ realized those errors, all 4 of those guys besides PAG were subbed early.

We actually look dangerous offensively, Taremi, Gholi, Azmoun. And that is without Ghoddos who can be key for us in upcoming 2 games.

Clearly players were also mentally affected by the entire situation. Guys clearly made choice to not sing anthem. Dameshoon garm for that.

All is not lost with of course, 2 wins and we still advance. But man, huge improvements will be required, specially in CB, LB, CM zone!!
