I love the moroccan team of 2018 played. Completely fearless and precise. They didnt care who they were playing, they just played their game.
This is the strange thing. When it comes to WC games every single Iran team I have watched, including the 98 team has a mentality issue which prevents them from playing their normal game. Nerves and the occasion seem to overcome them and they struggle to play a succession of simple passes and keep the ball.

Even when we had the likes of Nekounam and Shojaei playing CM in the most technical league in the world they would not be able to keep possession and reduce the constant pressure on the defence.

And yet, they’re able in friendly games against top level opposition like Uruguay when they constructed several flowing moves against an organised and difficult press.

Yes, some is clearly down to overly negative tactics making it harder to play out with so many behind the ball. But there’s times where you can hear CQ imploring them to remain calm on the ball.

If we solve this mentality issue we are more than capable of beating Wales and the US. The 2nd half of the Spain, Argentina and Portugal games is the closest we’ve come to overcoming that, and the players need to channel that in the next 2 games.

We need Azmoun for 90 minutes to play big in the 6 yard box on both offense and defense. He is our best defender on dead balls against a tall team. Do not expect him to chase the ball all over the place. I hope Ezatollahi has recovered from whatever ailment he had that caused him to limp around. I also hope CQ is not on some ego trip about the line up being his own signature lineup and not the old coach's. Please start the best player for each position.

I believe we are the better team here.

          I would start with

          Beiro/Abedzadeh
          Moharrami, Shoja, Kanani, Hajsafi
          Amiri, Ghoddos, Ezza, Torabi
          Azmoun, Taremi.

Second half or when necessary, I would sub out Hajsafi, bring Karim in as LM and move Amiri down to LB.
Gholizadeh can be brought in for speed and dribbling. Problem is, Azmoun end Ezza gasses out too fast. We don't have anyone to replace neither. (I prefer Karim as an LM rather than a striker)

Please no, PAG, M Hossieni, Cheshmi and MILMO at all.

I am not sure who would be a replacement for Beiro. I don't really have faith in the other 3, but if I have to pick one, it would be Hossieni.

The defensive combination of Moharrami, Kanaani, Shoja and Jalali seemed to work well against Uruguay. I will give it a try against Wales.

The midfield should be given to Ezatolahi, Gholizadeh, Ghoddos/Noor and Torabi

Attacking line needs Taremi and Azmoun

Livescores probable luneup is just mindcrushing, hope its not CQs choice.

5 line d, same as vs eng witch paf, chechmi and hosseibo, ezza, nour, amiri in midfield, azmoun taremi on top.

Just fo ordinary 4-4-2, moharrami, kaanani, shoja, haji
                ezza, nour, amiri

azmoun tarem same lineup as sko but better prepared defence line..

Or play like vs uruguay or senegal, second half 2 strikers
                .....
                .....

Really hope CQ comes out offensive today and we can show off some of our offensive soccer as well; please non of that 2 or 3 DM lineups signaling too much respect for the Wales offense (similar to what he did in Asian Cup against Japan). Would love to see this lineup:

                  Hosseini/Abedzadeh

                  Moharrami - Shoja - Kanaani - Amiri

                  Golizadeh - Ghoddos - Ezzatolahi - Torabi

                  Azmoun - Taremi

without Beiranvand our chances are very slim
& if I see Hosseini in the goal I'm turning off the tv

                      Agreed 100% ✓ 4-4-2 is fantastic.

Hopefully Ghoddos and Niazmand start too.

I hope its not true. I don't see us winning with that lineup.
