Sardar doesnt look pretty well.....get alireza in and mehdi up in front. But all in all pretty good performance from our boys. We need to take care of the right wing of wales a little bit more as well.

he is damn quality as always though ... Level headed CM play, clean on the ball.. gets everyone around him organized, next to Sardar has been the biggest difference maker between TM today and vs england ..!!

First half takes:

• Sardar has been active and is causing problems for the Welsh defense, but he doesn't look 100% (I commend him for his gheirat).
• Majid has been rock solid.
• I think both our full backs have been good (Milad and Ramin), especially defensively. They just need to do better at maintaining possession moving forward.
• Saeid is bossing the midfield, what else is new?
• It's kind of been a quiet game for Mehdi, but that's when he stings (when defense gets worried about Sardar).
• Hossein Hosseini has been better, gaining more confidence.
• Nour is pretty solid actually, he's had a good half. He has a very high motor.

For the second half, I will sub Sardar (maybe for Karim/Torabi), and bring on Saman at some point.

Azmoun needs to be stronger in box. He's bodied to easily and not getting calls. But overall one of the best 45 I've seen from TM under CQ at WC.

That's the TM I remember under CQ. Karim in for Sardar. Amiri in for Mohammadi and put Hajsafi at LB with Amiri at LW

The sun going in our eyes now, huge problem coming our way. Shocking defensive lineup choices, so far holding up. Hajsafi continues his 15 year run of ruining set pieces.

the missing piece for us is our midfield. Ezatolahi and Ahmad doing nothing to control the game. The midfield is an entirely missing link, we are going Straight from defense to attack. If we bring on Ghoddos we will resolve this.

The first 20 or something minutes, we made Wales look like Syria. Dont know what happened, but we lost momentum. Now its more even, but I still believe we are the better team.

So far this style is suiting Azmoun way more than Taremi. Taremi is waiting for the through pass but we are entirely relying on crosses

My take:

Ramin - Has been a beast. He is extremely quick, solid defense, plays with gheirat and the architect behind most of our chances.
Azmoun - He is like a wasp. Buzzing behind your back, frustrating you and making you stressed and nervous, unfortunately, he has lost his sting. If I was a defender, I would absolutely hate his face.
Taremi - Have been good off the ball, created some chances, but not so much else.
Hosseini - Dont want to jinx him.
MilMO - Fast.
Ezza - The king of the midfield
