CQ legacy right now and later

I want to have a frank conversation. I know the WC is not over and as we say "toop gerde" but what is CQs legacy as of right now? I encourage you to update your centiments once our tournament is over as well or however you see fit.

I post this as I am currently watching Saudi Arabia winning against Argentina 2-1 (min 80)! They are also attacking well amd defending superbly against SA champions and WC favorites!

Was CQ selling us a false hope? Did we improve under him, thoughts about his results. Why couldn't we do what Saudi did?

I will refrain from posting my thoughts now as you all pretty much know where I stand on CQ...

    Hmm interesting post.

I would say its "pending" atm

But whatever happens nobody can take away what he has done for our football, this generation of players and for an example the trainingcomplex we now have. That is set in stone.

first game was a dead one anyway, anything else would be a miracle. I say even we scored 2 goals is a miracle, paired with the players non quitting attitude for 107 minutes getting us those 2 goals rhat can be so important in a week. the great opposition, the pressure from outside on the players. If he can turm rhat around and get us through to top 16, he is legend of legends, Ali Daei and AK8 of coaches.

if anybody is ro blaim at any point, its Iff scandalshow with shahkar Majedi, that was a ridiculous epispde in our football history even for IFF standards..

    Thats my view atm.
Its not over yet, still believe in this team and coach.

EDIT: Uuh we went for the belgian fraud instead of renard, i just got reminded of that 😪

ksa just best Argentina!!! The Taj went for Wilmots...and CQ. I think this win shows you can win by attacking. You cannot win without the ball. Argentina unbeaten in 36 matches loses to ksa!

And all those positives did they really improve our football??? What were the results on the pitch we can be most proud of over 3 (ongoing) WC as well as in AC?

Whats clear is his team's unravel and appear lacking focus when under pressure. This has not changed and I feel Cq hot headed approach has negatively impacted our already emotional players and playing style.

We should be KSA right now...3 total shots, 2 goals.

Really feeling the missed opportunity and can't believe instead of Renard we got that Belgian fool. Renard creating biggest miracle upsets in World Cup history. Could have been us!

Great coach to have for tops 8 years (although even that was a stretch), anything after that is a waste of time and resources.

Can't be bothered to talk about a seriously stupid
overrated, outdated, old pathetic coach, anymore

But we need to! How can we improve? Look at Renard at KSA. Should CQ have been rewarded with WC team after his failures in Colombia and Egypt? Does anyone believe KSA footballing pedigree is better than ours?

Let’s wait for our run in this tournament to end and we’ll judge then.

in the end we are Iran... problems in our country, no football infrastructure... Noone wants to play us in friendly games... Our teams dont play ACL... We will have a circus after WC finding a new coach... most of our TM players are old and we dont have anyone to replace them with.. the list goes on and nothing will change... Things might get worse to.

This is how it is, we have to take a look at our selfs in the mirror then make a judgement. In the end football is just a game.. There are more important things in life than this

KSA's prep was miles ahead of ours. They had an actual camp because all their players play in the Saudi league. Iran's prep was nowhere near that. In terms of funding and infrastructure, it is night and day between us and Saudi. Also they aren't riddled with their own fans swearing and harassing their own national team every chance they get.live in matches and on social media.

There are big differences between their football infrastructure and ours.

This conversation is a great one to have. I think we should have it though after the Wales and US game - that will determine CQ's legacy and don't worry, his biggest fans aren't absolving him of any mistakes.

                          He played 4-3-3.
                          3 strikers.
Ye kam khayeh mikhad agha. Had. Not much to do with prep, specially if you are playing vs Arg

I personally believe Wilmots was a disaster, Skocic was okay choice, CQ coup a terrible mistake.

                            But as things stands

CQ is a marginal issue in our football. KSA are playing solid at the moment because of one thing. INVESTMENTS. These KSA dudes are not as talented as iranian players. Most of them are bums that would not last one day in Europe. But they are good at fundamentals. The actually know how to string together more than 3 passes. They have systems they play after.

Their clubs are better than ours. Have more money and more investments.

IMHO we are delusional if we dont accept this fact

Mate you know very well that we are not ruled by logic, reason
and common sense but rather by coercion, corruption
and mafias. Anyone talking sense, logic and common sense is
quickly suppressed, drowned, shut down, destroyed, imprisoned
or killed. What is the point? We live in a dictatorial state.
The saudis are also in a dictatorial state but they have a better
fucking much more modern dictators than us.
