Its not CQ fault. The whole football system need to change and we all discuss this on this forum since begining of year 2000. Same shit now as then. The only thing we have in our favour is talent and that is enough to take us to WC but not any furter.

The lack of progress is not his responsibility but due to poor development from the federation. We have the oldest squad at the World Cup now.
To be successful long-term, we would need higher quality younger players being developed from the youth systems.
Blame the infrastructure, blame the corruption, blame the regime
But don't blame CQ, for taking on an impossible task and being asked to fight with his hands tied behind his back.

With hindsight, it may help us now that Beiranvand may not play again in this tournament.
Although Hosseini, frankly, is a waste of space.

I cannot think of another situation when a coach has blamed the fans for a loss and then dare to say that people who do not want to cheer should not come. IMO, we do not need a second supreme leader. I know us against the world is typical coach speech but talk about being clueless. I personally would have been cheering the team on but regardless of soccer issues this man should be fired after the tournament regardless of how they do in the next games.

Things might get worse to.
This is how it is, we have to take a look at our selfs in the mirror then make a judgement. In the end football is just a game.. There are more important things in life than this

Central Midfielder is at level of some second rated asian team.
Only dominant position is forward.
But what hurts us the most is CM.
Look at taremi teammate Eustaquio today or Endo for Japan or Al Malki, Kano, for Saudi. They were all over field.

Started coaching Iran when we were regularly loosing to the likes of North Korea. Built up a team from scratch and got us to our first ever back to back WC. May I remind you. A team that is in this WC despite of IFF and its fiasco of firing and hiring new coaches..
Urged Iranian players to move to European clubs. We had 1 Euro player when CQ first came to Iran, now we have 18.
Basically gave rebirth to our football.
WC2018 - 4 points (record for Iran) in a group consisting of Morocco (reigning African champions), Portugal (reigning European Champions) and Spain (2010 WC and European champions)
WC2022 - First ever victory against a European team in the WC, 4 goals (record for Iran) in 2 games.
After we beat US, I'll come back and edit this to "got us to the knockout stage for the first time ever"
But what really matters is. You can clearly see CQ truly loves Iran and TM. Good luck finding another coach of his calibre that even feels neutral about Iran and TM.
