On par if not better than a Iran USA 98. Still nothing compares to Iran 2-2 Australia for me. Maybe it's nostalgic because that's the first time I really devoted myself to following TM.

it took a red card and a wonder strike to finally clinch the much needed full 3 points..!!
we had way too many close calls for my liking...!! we can't be nearly as wasteful vs. US ... it all comes down to probably having to win that match too considering our still pretty shitt GD...!

We still need better possession and better passes. We had the better chances but they connected more passes, were more accurate with them, and held on to the ball better. If we can up those 3 things, this team is an actual contender.

the red card came from the pressure we piled on though. Eventually they cracked. In any normal day the shots of Ezatolahi, Azmoun, Gholi go in and we win the match comfortably.

As for GD, it wont matter a jot. As long as US do not beat england, a tie sees us through. Even if they draw England, a tie is still enough for TM to advance in the final game.
