^ Good points and I agree. We need Milad to contain Weah' speed specifically. Milad had a good game vs Wales and doesnt strike me as a player that will have fitness or stamina issues.

If nour is out I think saman replaces him. He showed vs uruguay he can hold his own vs a very high energy, technical midfield and add a different dimension to TMs game, even if he does not have the same athletic profile as nourollahi.
Only other potential changes I see are in the backline. Is PAG fit enough to go 3x 90 in 10 days at this level? Maybe Kanani replaces him.
Our full backs will be way more defensive vs US, if thats the case it doesn't match ramin's game or skillset very much. Maybe sadegh who showed vs Nunez,Mane for TM and in CL that on defensive side of things he can hold his own vs top wingers, even if when he does that his offensive output is more limited. Although of course ramin was motm in the last game, maybe CQ was planning to alternate these 2 depending on opposition and tactical approach for TM.
Besides that rest will be the same I think, besides other than question mark around Beiro/Hosseini...
Beiro/Hosseini
Ramin/Moha - Kanani/PAG - Majid - Milad
Ghoddos - Ezatolahi - Hajsafi
Gholizadeh - Azmoun- Taremi

So long CQ doesn’t overthink the line ups & screw it all up as in the England game I fancy our chances of a 1-0, 0-0 tie & advance to KO rounds…!
make no mistake US are a much better team than the wales yet not nearly as complete, seasoned & formidable unit as the English..!
if we play with similar organization & Intensity as last game only in a more conservative stance then we should remain in charge throughout most of the match & get the job done ..!
Our well rested yet plenty formidable players must start or take significant part in this match ..!
kannani & Amiri would be sure starters in my view ..! Shoja & Saman must @ a minimum feature from bench ..! Slow pokes AK & Cheshmi should be rested &/ or saved for Trash min time wasting subs.
Sardar needs to be saved for early 2nd half intro.
I’d rather we keep Hossaini in between the sticks.
Majid & PAG have been relatively ok so far & rather more Spry wouldn’t mind one of them pushed up to partner Saeed in DMF role ..!
4231 in Low Block to start the match
switch to
4141 on the counter attacks ..!
——————-Hossaini————-
Ramin—-kanaani—-Shoja——MilMo
——-Saeed——PAG/HajSafi
Torabi————Sammy/Ahmad——Amiri
———————-Taremi—————
Go TM..! 💪 FTW..! 🙌 🙌

With highly technical and athletic teams if you play a close defensive game you are screwed.
They play tika taka game and leave you behind scratching your bum!
You need to control the game by forcing their players open up and spread out by long accurate
passes. You do that as soon as you get possession. you spread out and
Give yourself plenty of room and time to manoeuvre and make decisions.
We played tight game against England. in the first half that was typical
CQ game plan that screwed us badly. We may still pay for that first half.

He already has a difficulty judging the flight of the highballs into his box & now with that thing hanging over his face further blocking full view..!
he’s going to be even more miserable on that front and we could be exposed easily by defensively frustrated American attackers who’d then resort to just spraying high balls to the box, hoping for a favorable deflection into goal ..!
Hell, he injured himself in first place miss judging the flight of a cross this running into his own defender..!
I doubt he’d even be fit for this WC again ..!?
I am not buying those claims that he will be fit to start. I think those are just mind games to give the opposition something to worry about.
Hossaini has got the jitters out of the way, and now has a bit of confidence and momentum going for himself in a rather nervy clash as in tomorrow’s..!
i’d even be more apt to take a chance on Amir ahead of Bey.

No way! We can't have Hosseini in goal against US. That he built up his confidence after the the last match is irrelevant. He shouldn't have been that nervous in the first place. This match is too big and will destroy his nerves. You have to be naturally confident in these types of games. We need Beiro or Abedzadeh. I have nothing personal against Hosseini. But he is physically weak, short, has poor reflexes and reach.

I believe all of our players are capable of playing well
against any of the teams I have seen so far if
THEY BELIEVE IN THEMSELVES.
Most of them play in Europe and are just the same as
all the players I have seen. Even
those play in PGL are all good technically and physically
COME ON TM

Beiro should start 100%. Hosseini was barely tested vs wales
USA have not allowed any goals from open play so far. very strong midfield and defense so far.
Kanaani will not play guys. why would CQ change his CBs for match 3, it will not happen barring injury. you dont really need to rest CBs since they run the least
small chance Ghoddos starts RW but i doubt it.

We need players that will put pressure on the US, a high press & long range shots could be big for us. I hope for this reason Ghoddos plays & I am happy Jahanbaksh cannot come on--------------------------Beiranvand-------------------

The USA are even faster and younger than England, so we need a more intelligent gameplan than 9 defenders and 1 striker.
