Dametoon garm bacheha! What a win!! Please post your match ratings in the thread below!

Hosseini: 7.5, very solid. Excellent comeback after monday's woeful performance. His goalkicks were better, exits perfect, and overall moved a lot more cleanly

Milad Mohammadi: 6.5, Still a headless chicken with the crossing ability of high school level but his defending and man marking was much better today. He played a slightly above average game which is honestly all we need for a team melli left back.

PAG: 7.5, Much better today. Was lost a few times in the first half and had maybe 1 giveaway but he was defensively much more sound.

Hosseini: 8, Superb game today! Did really well against Kieffer Moore who is NOT AN EASY player to mark at all. Well done!

Ramin: 9.5, MOTM... WOW RAMIN!!! This guy just oozes confidence. He is such a shir it's crazy.. Defensively amazing, pace was better than expected, crossing superb, attacking with a late goal and a tank of an engine. A must start versus USA! (I wouldn't mind Rezaeian at RB and Sadegh at RM against the US!)

Ezatolahi: 7.5, Was expectedly slow but man, it's so crucial having him in our midfield. If this guy had even half the pace of Nourollahi he would've been playing for a premier league side. Technically sound.

Nourollahi: 7.5, Sneaky good today! He has superb pace! (He was actually clocked as 2nd fastest player on the field against England!!!). He reminds me of 2016 Amiri when Amiri was used as a scapegoat. He lost the ball once or twice and was far from our best player, but he was overall very decent! Great pressure defensively from him too.

Hajsafi: 8. WOW.. Ehsan chekar mikoni!!! He was one of our best against England and he was very good today as well! Helped control the midfield and won a lot of 50-50 balls. His leadership, along with Taremi's, is excellent!

Gholizadeh: 8.5, Stunning game from Gholi today. Unlucky not to have a brace!!! One offside goal and one screamer hitting the post! Him and Torabi are ahead of ARJ in the depth chart for me.

Azmoun: 8, Awesome game today. He really tried his best considering it's fairly clear he's still not fit. Unlucky to hit the post in two consecutive games now! He's a shir pesar and very much needed vs USA on tuesday

Taremi: 8, Wasn't his sharpest match but it shows how good he is when even during his "OK" matches he still performs. Drew a red card and assisted a goal and now leads the world cup with goals and assists. Our eftekhar!!!

    SUBS:

Torabi: 8, excellent off the bench today. I don't like his politics but he's a great winger and much better than ARJ. His turn on 3 welsh defenders was sublime and he nearly scored a screamer minutes before cheshmi!

Karim: 7, did his job, felt like he was barely on the ball but he pressed decently well.

ARJ: 5, worst player on the pitch for Iran. Luckily he got a 2nd yellow and will miss the match versus the USA.

Ali Karimi: 7, seemed more imposed today. Had a nice through ball that resulted in Hennessey's red card.

Cheshmi: 8, WOWWWWW. What a goal! Arguably Iran's least talented player (no offense) with one of the goals of the tournament But to be honest if it wasn't for the goal he would've received a 6... He was very slow and out of position those 10 mins! I really hope CQ doesn't reward Cheshmi with a start because if he does then USA will win Still we have to thank him for that beautiful goal!

CQ: 10... What a bounce back. What a man. CQ is Iran

I remember during his playing days in Qatar when Ramin was living in a hotel, everyday he would put a video of him doing sprints and running outside. Some people actually made fun of him for posting those videos. If half of our players took fitness as serious as him, we would be world beaters. Yes I’m talking to you Ezzi.

I can’t believe cheshmi scored a no look screamer from 25 yard out in extra time he gets a 9 and Ramin a 10.

              Jahanbaksh 2, Mohammadi 6, everyone else 8

The biggest surprise to me was Ramin. Wow, just wow. What a show of perseverance and hunger. Holy ****. It honestly felt as though Ramin from 2018 came through a portal to 2022. He proved many of us wrong with his performance. I will never doubt his desire to give everything he has for Iran. He may have an off day here and there but he plays with heart. He was one of the players who really came through today.
