I have a bad feeling about the game. Before the protests even started this game was a political firestorm. Now there is endless bulletin board material for CQ to use about how the world hates TM, Iran, Iranian culture etc and the US's social media move(I cheered for the flag replacement), won't do anything to calm things down.

Iran staying in the World cup will keep spotlight on Iran so I want them to be able to advance.
I can guarantee if the US advances, no one from there will care about protests in Iran anymore.

Don't worry, Qatari officials got really harsh with these political activists. They saw what they did during England match and kicked their asses before Wales match. Many of these people not there for football but for political activism weren't allowed to enter the stadium. Qatari authorities will be even harsher during/before US match and whoever will come with political bullshits will be arrested, detained and deported.
