    Ramin

My respect has gone up drastically for Ramin! He was a BEAST! Not just on the pitch either. I had no idea he spoke English so well. Too bad he is older, otherwise I think he would be picked up by a European club. And he has my abs!

Agreed, but I'll say this: Ramin has consistency shown to be a beast on the field and a patriot outside the lines as well. At the last World Cup, particularly in how he shut down Ronaldo, and again here, he is leaving his mark!

Ramin is a beast and he went to Europe but got home sick and came back to the gulf.

He played at KV Oostende, made 16 appearances and actually played ok if I recall but then made a couple blunders and got benched. Decided he would rather make Petro dollars playing in the gulf as a guaranteed starter rather than struggle for game time for significantly less money.

It's the classic story and reason why we don't have more players in Europe. Historically our players rather make bank close to home rather than take a pay cut and move to Europe.

^ hard to make a judgement, I mean, if he will work his ass of playing in an Qatari club and be more confident and happy, and can overall perform better for TM that way, we should be ok with it. As we've seen with AJ, confidence is a huge matter for our boys, Brighton destroyed his.
