And for the record, Skocic was a terrible coach.

I would prefer to keep CQ for the coming Asian Cup, it would mean less drama and he already knows the players & the team so overall everything would be easier. For the future I think Vahid Halilovic (former Bosnia & Morocco Coach) would be good, he‘s known to be a tough coach that doesn‘t take any bullshit. Herve Renard would be nice but I think he‘ll stay in Saudi Gayrabia where he‘s making big bucks. Otherwise our options are quite limited unfortunately.

Results:
Qualifying to back to back WCs - both times topping the group
Finishing third place in two WCs
Getting our best WC win ever
Elevating Iran as an Asian powerhouse
Emerging without a loss against rivals Korea and beating them four times in 8 years
Unprecedented wins against Uruguay and Chile
Creating a pipeline for our players to receive opportunities in Europe where our top player is now
Instilling discipline and a tangible system within the team
Cons with some context
Losing to Iraq after a 3-3 draw in extra time down to 10 men after the most soft red card ever
Losing to Japan in Asian Cup Semi Finals
First goal was a brain fart defensive error, second penalty was a completely incorrect decision
Losing to Bosnia 3-1 - sure you can blame him for this
Losing r16 qualification twice in the margin of one goal, where we were in the running until the very last match day - one time with half fans cussing their own team out

Lol. CQ has had 5 tournaments and delivered 0. Which other coach in our history has had as many chances?
And you call it pooroo mentality to demand results after 10 f'ing years?

As I been saying
if persian farhad majidi will get the job
unless farhad has promised Haj fat so
To go to ss(ss current coach will be gone
next 5 matches.that open door for jn for ss job
Long shot and tm longer shot.
Morais sepahan coach would be good.
if not 2 above
then it will be a foreigner coach
Which tm needs to have foreigner coach,,
For sure it's not bronko.
Here is my short list
1.cq
2.morais
3.forigner coach west european

What these CQoolaid drinkers like to pay attention to is what works for them and they ignore the other poor decision making realities...

Almost like ignoring playing back 5 for first time in a WC match and not practicing in the previous friendlies.

About the empty spot, it is not like we left Messi or Mbappé at home. It is very far from certain, a guy struggling in Hungary or some donkey from IPL would have charged drastically the US game

Jamali was so fresh that he was the best player vs USA when he came in,

The two extra spots (the empty one and the 4 st gk) could only be for Zahedi or a young prospect like khodabandelou. Zahedi is the only one would could eventually have an impact but he never really played with TM and is doing nothing special in Hungary. Ok we never know but the chances are slim.
Actually I prefer to have an empty spot than reward someone like Ghaedi, mohebi who represent the cancer of our football mentality, or sarlak and Noorafkan that sx big time.
Like said before France left an empty spot in its squad after Benzema injury while they had lot of useful quality players available at home. The coach didn't want to add a extra player that would break the team cohesion. I guess CQ wanted to do the same.
Actually it seems Benzema was kicked out of the squad because he doesn't go well with other French players.

Yes a player could disrupt a camp and then the coach has to stand pat and remove him. Skocic did this with Taremi.
I'm speculating yes but the risks and rewards are much more in TM favour to have the roster filled appropriately given our talent pool and fitness levels. France is in another league compared to us. 10 man France prob would give full squad iran a run for its money.

Sometimes, team cohesion is more important than adding a number. From outside, yes the more you add player the better. From inside it couldn't be that straight
