You just deal in vibes and no substance. Iran's football was not on the map before CQ came and revitalized everything to the point where having successful legionnaires and making the WC consistently is the norm now.

In the last 27 years, CQ has not been able to hold down any head coaching job for much more than a year except for Iran. NY Metro stars, Nagoya Grampus Eight, UAE, S. Africa, Real Madrid, Portugal, Colombia, Egypt. But many, many, too many years in Iran!!!!

Why do you think so many teams realized their mistakes so quickly? Because his style of football has not changed since the early 90's while world football has moved on.

Why did Iran keep him for so long? Why? Why? And he was one of the highest paid national coaches in 2014 and 2018 WC... I believe $2m a year, plus bonuses for every win and tie. Also, 15% of FIFA WC bonuses which equated to a minimum of $1.2m for each WC. And a house and a car and a driver, etc... were provided to him for free. And all his income was tax free too, I believe. Was it all the trophies he got for us??? We need an oracle to tell us why.

Yet he is still in demand by the entire world. Even if he leaves another job offer is immediately there. Why do you think he got offered a job from Colombia after Iran? Because of all his failures under TM right? Lol

He was sacked after only 4 games of qualifying. Terrible decision to not let him finish out the course and because of that they threw their chances of qualification

Nuances arent the strongest trait, culturally, amongst iranians.

Skocic got the treatment and now CQ is getting his fair share. Both got good results but as soon as the first setback comes. Iranian tend to turn on them and each other.

Iran has structural and institutional problems: Not a coaching problem. When ozgals in charge learn to not change federation committes and boards 2-4 months prior to a world cup, then but only then we might see some semblance of improvement.
