Do you know Amir Reza Nasr Azadani?

Amir Reza Nasr Azadani, امير رضا نصر آزادانی, is a 26-year-old defender/Right Back from Esfahan who is a player for Iranjavan FC. He has been detained in the latest street protests and there's news that he has been labeled as an "enemy of the state" which is punishable by death. I don't know much else about him, but I fear that in silence we'll lose him without anyone finding out. If you know more, please help and post it here.

Here is a link from Iranian regime's newspaper, Rokna, saying that he has had a role in "martyrdom" of a baseeji militia member:

امیر نصر آزادانی کیست؟ / در شهادت مسلحانه 3 مامور پلیس اصفهان چه نقشی داشت؟

It's all over the media. Those IR bastards have no mercy at all, and they will never change. Nor have they the intelligence to realize they are digging their own grave deeper and deeper. The day will come, where they will be lynched in the streets of Tehran and elsewhere.

The article Farantino posted said they have video footage of him in the events. Do they mean just the protests or allegedly killing the basiji?

I should add IR makes up evidence all the time, but wouldn’t they present this ? If it’s some guy liking a dude in cold blood (as IR Says).

Obviously they don’t present the video cause they don’t have it or it’s not him.

who am I kidding? This is IR. With these judges and lawyers, evidence, presumption of innocence… all means nothing.

FIFPRO in a tweet raised more awareness about Amir, https://t.co/vPuylCS2ph. According to media reports from Iran, Amir Reza was arrested for death of Colonel Esmaeil Cheraghi and two Basij members on November 17. This excerpt from CNBC seems to be the most accurate.

            Why was Amir Nasr-Azadani arrested?
Amir Nasr-Azadani has been arrested for committing ‘moharabeh,’ which is a Persian term that roughly translates to ‘waging war against God.’ However, reports in news agencies across Iran, suggest that the regime has arrested Nasr-Azadani for the alleged murder of Colonel Esmaeil Cheraghi, and two members of Iran’s voluntary paramilitary service, known as Basij.
It has also been reported that the footballer appeared on state television on November 20 and read out his confession while there have also been contrary reports that Nasr-Azadani was not present in the area where Cheraghi and the two Basij members were killed.
What is known is that Nasr-Azadani has actively campaigned for women's rights and freedom amid the ongoing protests in Iran and this is seen as the regime’s way to silence such public displays of solidarity with the protestors.

Thank you for keeping this discussion going. So it seems like his crime was campaigning for human rights. A crime punishable by death in the eyes of Murderous Mullahs. I've written to the congresswoman from my state and asked her to raise awareness about Amir. I ask you guys to please help get his name out there. I like Football, and I love Iran, but I can't stay silent anymore as the World Cup puts on a show and the Republic of Murderers plucks off our brothers and sisters to prepare for execution.
