If CQ can beat Mexico with Qatar, I think Honduras will beat or tie Haiti and put Qatar through to the next round.

That said, this Qatar team remains super unimpressive.

As much as I love what CQ did for us, I still wonder if we would've done better at this past WC with Skocic and his younger squad. Many of the arguments for bringing back CQ were dismissed after the England thrashing, and if anything, the completely defensive first half of the USA game further supported Skocic remaining.

Qatar were not great but having a solid backline, converting their only chance of the game and holding out for 100 minutes is concerning.

Mexico's team is not as good as it once was but they are so much more fluid in passing than we are and couldnt convert their chances. Against teams that bunker we need to figure out the players that can ping the ball around to set up as many chances as possible especially against these Arab teams that like to play mental games.
