Quieroz was bittersweet. I was an avid supporter of his for us. After the world cup 2022 he screwed it up big time. However the 8 solid years he gave us might have never been without him, so would I do it all over again. yes I would

its crazy when i see some people talk as if we would go somewhat far in the wc. we aren't even near japan, morocco, korea, etc. This classic Iranian mindset of nothing is ever fulfilling enough will be the death of us all

It’s crazy when i see some people defend a fraud that got us nowhere.

Our best result in WC before CQ = 3rd place in Group stages
Our best result in AC ( after revolution) before CQ = Semifinal

He was hired to get us to new heights. But the self-proclaimed top 10 coach was nothing but a fraud. He was given twice as many chances as everyone else in both AC & WC.

he's been with us plenty long enough, done a respectable job overall but clearly shown his limits too and unlikely to be missed by many..!?certainly not me..!!

his true brilliance only lies in his managerial and long term and detailed planning skills but his pure coaching skills and tactical knowledge is well past expiration date in today's international football..! he is way too defensive and one dimensional at that..!!
as such he was/is an excellent choice for Gutter, i must admit..! but his success there also mostly will be off the pitch and limited ...!! gutteries simply lacks the passion for the game and there isnt a sufficient talent pool there to make much noise internationally..!! unless cq goes on a rampage naturalizing a bunch of more foreign based footballers for them..!?

the only thing that could possibly make most iranian fans still yearn for him would be a further gross mismanagement of our football by the IFF and the other associated regime cronies ..!
but that doesnt do it for me anymore either...!! his fk ups at last WC was a last draw for me .... done with him already..!

We really didn't go anywhere with CQ and it cost us a ton of money. So better to dream you can go far rather than go no where time after time wouldn't you agree?

It's crazy when I see some people talk down our team and potential just to say CQ did good. It is a fallacy and self hatred. This classic Iranian mindset that we are not good enough or we cannot compete with others needs to die if we ever are going to get back to our true selves.

im not saying that we are "not good enough" realistically, we are better than a LOT of top teams technically, but we lack the infrastructure/dedication at the moment to meet our potential and thats facts

^lets be fair here, CQ, like anyone is keeping his long term options open. I recently switched jobs but was looking for over a year and interviewing etc. I certainly didn’t deviate from doing my best at the current job during that process.
