Not true. If you watch the game again you can see a frustrated CQ constantly telling the players to push forward. But our players didn't push forward because they were afraid of getting countered by a much younger and faster US team.

After getting embarrassed by England, Our players not wanting to embarrass themselves against sheytane bozorg is understandable. The game could have gone both ways. We could have won or tied if we pushed forward, or suffered another greatly embarrassing defeat. Guess they were okay with a smaller embarrassment rather than a great one.

Aria jan, he started Rezaeian, Mimo, and Hajsafi (as some kind of attacking winger on the left side), leaving us with only Azmoun Taremi and Gholizadeh as our main attacking players. Then he subbed off Azmoun at half-time and replaced him with Ghoddos as a winger (where we all know he’s not that effective). He didn’t make any other subs until minute 70. Maybe the players had some fear, but I think the game was lost due to CQ’s poor tactics of playing scared for the tie and not setting the team up to fully unleash its attacking power.

The game was lost chiefly because the USA were the better team. If their strikers were better finishers, would have been even more comfortable for them. We could have put up a better fight with a better formation but there is a reason why the betting odds were so much in favor of the US beating us.

Qatar had fielded their B team during the tournament as well, with five players earning their first caps, including two 17-year-olds.

While I'm not a fan of QC's defensive game plan, it's too harsh to label his stats in Iran as a failure. Securing two consecutive World Cup qualifications and earning the highest points in a World Cup so far marks the best result in Iran's entire history in the tournament.

Considering Egypt's near elimination from the qualification, he did a commendable job turning the team around. Reaching the finals in Africa and coming close (penalties away) to both winning it and qualifying for the World Cup is a significant turnaround.

That being said, I believe QC's time as Iran's coach has come to an end, and it wouldn't have been beneficial to keep him any longer. However, I don't think we have selected a suitable replacement.

also wc 2022 showed me that he absolutely has no guts to go for wins.....also i am sure he will fail in qatar and also the next stations he will go, he would even play defensiv football with 11x ronaldo in his team

his 8th years cq was head coach tm got better results in any expan of 8 years tm got since 78.
