The difference between qatar and TM is compensate the difference between cq and gn. Like the difference between France and salomon island compensate the difference between nagelsmann and me.
Gn just select cq players and let them on automatic pilot. Something most members could do. And As I would do with France in my example.
Actually cq TM on automatic pilot beat cq's qatar.

That is the point...by keeping CQ we will not grow enough to have better managers.

We have to forego short term success to achieve long term success.

Even CQ would not have been anywhere near the success he was after 1 year in charge.

We need to give long term stability to Iranian coaches so that they plan ahead and take risks with new players rather than always play the current stars.

Because with GN we will grow better managers? It's not TM duty to grow better managers but at club level.

Baba bekeshin biron azin CQ. This is just like our media. They are still talking about CQ.

GN is the most successful coach in club football and highly experienced too...

He is the best possible candidate for TM manager. Now he needs a few years to develop his team. It takes years for TM manager to develop a team not months.

We keep wanting the managers to take risks and bring in a new generation of players and then if we don't get instant success, we ask for the managers head! Of course they will be conservative and of course they will be vulnerable to Bazikon Salari. If the players know that the manager is the same after a tournament, they will keep their mouths shut.

Give GN 3-4 years with solid federation backing.

Bringing CQ might mean better success at this tournament (semi final exit vs a quarter final exit) but what next? He is older and close to retirement. We'd need another coach in a few years.

3 - 4 years of GN means we will end up at Kuwait level. GN currently ride on CQ legacy with minimal effort (6 months of him and our defense came back to soorakh even afghanistan scored on). He may be the most experienced doesn't mean he is the best of the mediocre domestic solution. The guy didn't even reach ACL final like Golmo.

The guy don't even risk young and better players in meaningless games or friendlies against Afghanistan or Hong kong but play 39 year old Ebrahimi and non TM material players like moghanlou or Asadi over and over.

People were mad at skocic from the start to end because of his CV. Not less reason to be mad at GN, specially what we saw in 2007 and now. Domestic coach isn't the solution, see volleyball

                Yes, he has deficiencies.
Let him at least show what he's made of in Asia Cup.
He is not going to risk anything when he's under extreme criticism from media and fans.

If he fails, then we can talk about replacing him, but the hyperbolic hate against this guy is bordering on unfair. I'm Persepolisi and don't have any love for the guy, but let him face a real test first before destroying him.

Asian cup group is a farce, as said before he just have to ride on cq legacy with little effort and arrive in QF against SK. When we'ill exit against SK, people will find him tons of excuses. If we crash out before SK or against a weaker team, it would be a catastrophe we may struggle to bounce back.

The guy escaped bad results (sometimes luckily) in meaningless friendlies we could afford bad results and is starting bad results in official games that matters (wcq against Uzb)

Yeah I’m all for giving general a chance and backing him all the way but we shouldn’t forget he almost lost to Kenya and jordan

Funny how we won't give coaches a chance to prove themselves knowing/thinking it will lead to nothing.. But with someone who has had multiple chances that all led to nothing we're willing to take another chance

I'm not sure what the solution is but if we don't start to give younger players a chance DURING THIS CYCLE of qualifiers we will be cooked for the World cup.

Ages of some of our players in 2026 World Cup.
                          Hajsafi 36
                          Khalilzadeh 37
                          Mohammadi 32
                          Kanaani 32
                          Rezaian 36
                          Daneshgar 32
                          Ebrahimi 38
                          Ghoddos 32
                          Cheshmi 32
                          Torabi 31
Taremi 33(34 one month after WC)
                          Azmoun 31.
                          Ansarifard 36.

I don't care how much experience the team has a bunch of 20 year old Americans, any African/S. American team. any peripheral team cooks them with the pace our team has as it continues to deterioriate.

32/33 is not a bad age for a footballer obviously but with no alternative going into the next cycle will be even worse.

You say national team isn't a place to grow...it is...do you think Southgate or Deschamps or Klinsmann or many others had a ton of club experience before their well run federations handed them the NT? No they did not...

But okay...IFF installs the best of the mediocre bunch with the best track record.

No, you want a foreign coach...Guess what, we had 2 foreign coaches after CQ... didn't work out either.

You say CV was the problem...okay Wilmouts had an excellent CV... didn't work out either.

Now you want a different foreign coach.

Problem is that we have a bunch of Divas as players who complain and bitch till the managers rule becomes untenable. Taremi and Skocic...Kanaani and CQ..

None of these Divas can say shit with GN around because he gets their respect. And if they don't give him respect, Naziabadi knows what to do.

That is an advantage that GN has and CQ had to earn by ending two players national careers.

This is where Queiroz came in because he always had an eye to the next generation and sowing seeds for the future. None of these other coaches have any interest in this, especially GN who is otherwise the only realistic coach option we have

Deschamps reached a UCL final with Monaco, he won a ligue 1 title with that loser club named Marseille who was unable to win anything 17 years before (with corruption) and 23 years after. Klinsmann and Southgate in one of the best national team/league/clubs.

Wilmots, we didn't know before and fortunately we saw it quickly and left before it was too late. Gn we know before he came how bad he is
