Many issues. Not just one situation.

1) Qatar ignored the planning project for World Cup Qualification;

2) CQ didn't wanted to take the Brazilian defender because he wanted to take young blood players and real domestic players. But Sheik simply ignored; Sheik pressed CQ to not let old generation to retire so they not liked the youth squad CQ taked for US to play Gold Cup cause this showed real intention of CQ to change Qatar with new rosters;

3) A important meeting (related to Asian Cup preparation and training camp) with Federation was cancelled by them because Cristiano Ronaldo coming to Doha was more important in the view of Sheik (funny that Al Nassr come to Doha without Ronaldo Lol);

4) The last fight was about one scout/analyst that was a main mentor for local players in China in Prime Chinese Super League time and worked with Vilas Boas and Vítor Pereira in Shanghai, is recommended by CQ to analyse opponents and they feel offended because the person is Chinese and they had to play against China. I still think he should have invited Azmoun

But Khalatbari being crossed off made sense in retrospect.

That squad was all PGL players with 2 players who grew up abroad and had just been invited. We had fewer legionnaires and star players than Panama

The only chance for us to maximise points potential was for a club side disciplined defence, physicality and players giving their heart for each other. In the end we got a point against Nigeria in quite a stalemate, we had a 91 minute conceded wondergoal from Messi after shutting them out the whole game, and the players were visibly exhausted before a Bosnia game where although we had beaten them in friendlies previously, all of their star players had collectively gone on then form of their life in EPL, Bundesliga and Serie A.

Don't agree at all, Khalat was in good form and was the reason we made the WC in 2014. His goal against Uzbek got us past the finish line. He deserved to be there, CQ fucked him hard because of his stubbornness. If we are playing Gucci, who was not physically a powerhouse, or had Khosro Heydari there, why he was not brought is insanity. Khalatbari I think is generally one of the most underrated players in modern TM history

CQ the king of failure. Good talking bad at walking. Made such fundamental changes to our game that nobody knows what they are. Probably one of the few coaches in the world that has been fired on all occassions he's been a coach somewhere.

Hey guys! As many of you know, I work with CQ. I don't know where this fake rumours come but make me really disappointed and sad how disgusting football can be. I spoke with CQ even last night in the phone after he be honoured in Coimbra, by his University. He is currently very busy with personal things that I am not gonna mentioned here obviously, but I come to deny any of this bullshits rumours about alzeimer. I can garanteree that Uzbekistan wanted to take CQ and start negotiating but Odil Ahmedov couldn't provide a offer cause some people inside the Federation are happy with their performance in Asian Cup; China wanted CQ but apart of very small budget, when CQ asked what is their plans to achieve the FIFA World Cup, they had no good arguments at all so CQ rejected to go forward and probably just Branko will accept to go there since they just can't afford or attract big names as they offer is 600 thousand to the next coach. About Algerie. Yes, they did a offer, and is CQ who denied for the simple reason to be busy with more important things than any money or challenge. But he will be back working soon, until June he will start working, but for now he can't do much next months and he can't take the responsibility to start working immediately. His father almost is hundred years and he have personal obligation and because of his responsibilities and another reasons he simply said no to Algerie, but sounds they can't accept that fact.

Why did he bring so many defenders with him to the WC, but in the end only used 14-15 players? Even a blind man could see we had run out of steam against Bosnia. Khalatbari & Azmoun could surely have helped against Bosnia, instead of bringing a lot of defenders he didn’t even use?

2015 AC
What was the deal with 30% ball possession against the likes of UAE & Qatar? Very embarrasing.
Why didn’t he keep his cool after 1st half vs Iraq? We lost the game thanks to this.

2018 WC
Except Morocco game we were waiting until opponent scored to play our football. Even Rezaeian during one of his interviews said that we played awful vs Spain until we got scored on. He almost made it sound he was relieved we got scored on because after that we started playing football.

2019 AC
Why did he suddenly play defensive against Japan in semifinal? What had Japan done in that tournament that made him scared of them?

2022 WC
Why not keep playing offensive like the Wales game against USA? Why did he play for a draw?
He made the same mistake as 2014 WC with squad selection. His assistant said that our players were too tired vs USA, then why starting those players? Why bring 4GK and only 25 players to WC when the limit was 26 players? Especially when his assistant say players were to tired?

Don't get me wrong, he was fantastic in WCQ but for the way we needed to play in that world cup just to get a single point, he wouldn't have been suited - apart from minutes against Bosnia perhaps.
