The biggest red flags are the multiple stints that are pretty short lived. Reasons could be bad performance, poor management skills, low social IQ, etc. if I saw this on a job application in my line of work, it would raise concerns.

But cuper is a 100% disaster in coming, worse than wilmots whose CV could hide he is a disaster.

Katanec would have been a good choice but he is now coaching Uzbekistan

Hell no he is another Marc Wilmots. We need a foreign coach with a good track record for the TM job. No Iranian coaches are just garbage and won't cut it for the TM job! I don't understand why former players are lobbying for Iranian coaches.

He is an offensive minded coach , who if given the right amount of time , yes he can be successful, but he also needs a situation that will allow for him to test and make mistakes , ….learning tactics isn’t easy , creating a game plan and have 11 ppl execute it is a lot easier to talk about then implement, do I think he is better than CQ , idk, but his resume is much better than his or wilmonts or anyone else we have ever had as a coach…


can he makes us go to the 2nd round of the World Cup , which to us is like winning the work cup , if you ask me we have the wrong mentality to begin with …

we need a coach a federation who should be asking us , are we going to win the World Cup , Yes or No ???

CQ is a legend …. Best coach we ever had no matter what ppl say …

hector cuper I personally feel like he isn’t someone who will unearth gems , he just going to work with players we give him ….

we need someone who will go watch ever 2nd division game , every 1st division games , every PGL game unearth the next Mehdi taremi , unearth the next ali karim , mehdi Mahdavikia , azziz , Javad neukunam, etc……

It not that man , he is very intelligent good coach , he just isn’t used to working at a 3rd world country level facility, coaching environment…. He can’t adjust to it ,, like CQ did , CQ brilliance was that he know we had very low level everything, camps , facilities, training grounds , coaching, tactics ,you name it , so he made sure to some how circumvent those obstacles so they wouldn’t effect performance as much ,

hector cuper is the type of coach who puts all his eggs in one basket , he is used to training in fancy stadiums working with world class everything trainers , pyschio, nutritionist, everything , he isn’t able to handle all those roles on his own shoulders , he just a brilliant tactician, look they played decent , and by they I mean Egypt against Russia and Uruguay,, the game against Saudi it was a wash , Egyptian players were played to lose that game , by some Saudi sheik, also that same Uruguay who steamed rolled the very same Portugal who we barely tied ……Egypt played them very well all with their best player out Mohammed Saleh..
