This is the first time I'm watching this team play and tbh, they are not good and will probably not have much to say if they would qualify for World Cup. It so obvious that almost all players lack fundamental and basic capabilities like simpel reception, passing skills. They have no game plan at all for offence. They do have the heart and fighting spirit though.

And this ball reception, this is a huge problem even in senior level in Iran. I mean even our best players like Jahanbakhsh are not so good in ball reception.

However, I really hope that they manage to win this game and qualify for World Cup to at least get som International experience.

We have a good U23 team (naturally much better than our U20 because their older) that can qualify for the olympics.

Aziz, I dont know how old you are but if I look at your username, it says 92, meaning you are 31 and should then at least be aware that Iran havn't been able to qualify to Olympics in 44 years, not even when we had a team with players like Ali Karimi, Hamed Kavianpour etc..

So now let's drop this and agree to disagree.

That was a very bad half by Iran.
Our worst in this tournament by far.

Boys look nervous. Haven’t seen a single good combination play yet. Need to get up to standards in 2nd half.

What a way to approach this game...

Disrupting a pair of centre backs like Kor-Hazbavi to play with 3 at the back and playing Ghorbani in a more central role when he's a winger all day long - was outmuscled by Iraqi defenders - he is dangerous from the wing.

I see an elimination after extra-time or PKs just because of this coach.

Hope they improve in the 2nd half as iraq seem better in this half. If iraq had finishers they wud be 2 nill up by now.

Samad is scared, and that negative energy has been transferred to the boys.

Really no reason to be afraid of Iraq.
                We’re much better than them.

Changes at the break and reverting to a back 4 and having two wingers. Let's see now. Maybe a better display

A lot to be desired when it comes to Milad Kor's passing.

Again, Iran has not done anything notable this half. I'd bring on the Mohammad Hosseinejad kid to stablize the midfield and create some chances for us, cause we haven't had any chances so far!

Iran's first shot on target I think - great freekick by sub Mohammed Hosseinejad that was saved.

Iraq almost score. A pass goes across the line and needs a tap in and the Iraqi player missed it.

Honestly, terrible output by Iran. Don't deserve to go to the U20 World Cup.

Kor's passing is atrocious. Just gives away the ball so much.
